Report: Hernandez recently was sued for allegedly shooting someone in the face

June is a slow month for football.  It hasn’t been a slow month for a certain football player’s lawyers.

According to TMZ, Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was sued last week in a Florida federal court for allegedly shooting someone in the face.

The lawsuit, filed by Alexander S. Bradley, claims that Hernandez

shot Bradley on February 13, 2013 while the two men were riding in a

car.  Bradley allegedly lost his right eye as a result of the incident,

along with other injuries.

Per TMZ, the case was dismissed only four days after it was filed.

Since it’s highly unlikely that any action was taken on the case that

quickly, there’s a chance the case was settled.

Hernandez would have been much smarter to settle the case before it

was filed.  Between the lawsuit and the investigation in Massachusetts,

Hernandez is now more likely to attract the attention of the league

office, which is more apt to apply the enforce the personal-conduct

policy when a player is involved in multiple off-field incidents.

Maybe somebody on the defense shot Mark Sanchez in the face. He lost sight in his right eye, and the settlement explains both his complete nosedive into the abyss of suckitude + his unending position as Jets starting QB.  AMIRITE?

this is honestly a damn shame. Hernandez was getting his life together, according to a billion articles I read prior to this whole "he murdered a guy" thing. Plus, he's hot. what a waste.

I'm not saying I'd let him off for murder, I'm just saying it's a waste. Honestly, Gronk's so dumb, you'd think he'd be involved in a murder.

Lets not pretend he doesn't belong in this thread. The combined liver cirrhosis caused by Mark Sanchez in the aftermath of the last few seasons is going to have a higher death toll than Hernandez.

You agree that shooting somebody in the eye is a bad thing? That's good to know

Is the guy that got shot a POS?  Then I might disagree.

If Hernandez was twirling a gun a la Burress, then yeah I agree.

I'm enjoying this topic because it's really highlighting how full on retarded you and the other Pats troll's are.

shooting a guy in the face is attempting to kill him

why does it matter what the guy was like?

scumbags < not scumbags. it's in the Constitution. look it up.

Yeah, but only Obama's scumbag list allows you to be killed without reproach. I think PFSIK sounds like a scumbag but fortunately for him that doesn't make it legal for me to shoot him, even though he seems to disagree with this law.

There's a world of difference between banging porn stars and killing someone.

I'm not sure the civil suit even says Hernandez shot him on purpose with the intent to harm. If this indeed happened, Hernandez might have brandished the weapon in an argument in order to intimidate the man as they both were in the car, the victim raised his hand in front of the gun, the gun accidentally goes off and the bullet hits the arm on the way to the side of the head, wounding the eye area. I think this is how it might have gone down, if the accuser is telling the truth. Whether it was an accident or intentional, Hernandez is still in trouble if the story is true.

So I am away on vacation this week and have read very little about this.  I see the headlines though and have to ask...this doesn't look good for Hernandez right?  Does it sound like he will be charged?

I think so because cops went to his house twice and Aaron was with the victim that night he died.

Destroying the physical phone does nothing. Only way he is safe, is if he didn't use data based on the manufacturers sms programming.

Could be plenty on the phone that wasn't messaged.  Was he stupid enough to take photos at the scene?

I remember watching an episode of Tales from the Crypt as a kid and it featured Tim Roth as an artist who killed people and painted pictures of the murder scenes and sold them to morbid art collectors.
