If the Jets win, it's because Belichick wanted to lose so the Jets wouldn't get such a high pick and the Pats are resting their starters. If the Pats win, it's because the Jets suck and the Pats are back.

AVM
just my opinion...but if BB "intentionally blows this game"...hes a whole lot dumber than ive thought. Momentum is never more important than now, and despite the fact that we are one of the bottom crawlers, we havent played HORRIBLE the past two weeks, and it would look good to completely blow us out at home, and go into the last week of the season and possibly the playoffs with a good winning streak. or maybe im just stupid haha

I agree with this 100%. Right now, the last thing BB wants is for the Pats to lay an egg in this game. They have played some great football the last 3 weeks and it is very important to keep that momentum going heading into the playoffs. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Brady and the other starters go the entire game.
Garb
This game means nothing - aside from the fact that BB hates the Jets. However, he would never let that interfere with TB's health. IF the Pats have a decent lead by the fourth, Flutie Flake will make his second to last appearance as a "real" NFL player
RichardSeymour
I agree with the momentum argument. Remember we played our starters 3+ quarters vs San Fran until the game was clearly in the bag. Belichick may pull his starters earlier than he would otherwise and be willing to take slight chances--- ie he may pull them with 'only' a two score lead and 7:00 left in 4th--- but he will play to WIN. Won't pull anyone if game is in much doubt. I think he strongly buys the momentum argument. Plus to be honest, I think even now he probably has a bit of bad blood towards the Jets.... I'm sure he wants to win this one just a touch more than he would if we were playing San Fran again.
faba
You want to be playing your best ball of the year right now heading into the playoffs so I do see any letup in Bellicheck and his approach to this game honestly

I'm not a fan of a team resting players the last week or 2 of the season. I think it takes em' somewhat out of their rhythm. And thats not always easy to get back IMO.
