Good observation.  If he was, he won't be anymore.  He has been playing pretty well in camp.......Till today

First off, thanks for the updates, PREEESH!!!

Second, I would have to guess he is running the scout team vs teh 1st team defense.  I kind of remember hearing that there were some scout team drills somewhere on the interwebs.

Today was the second to last practice at SUNY Cortland for the New York Jets. Let’s get right to the observations:

  • MARK SANCHEZ PUTTING IT TOGETHER: Mark has put together several good practices in a row, and today was no different.  He looked sharp, and connected with Jeremy Kerley on a bullet TD during team drills.  Geno Smith did not have a TD pass today, for those keeping track.
  •
  • CHRIS IVORY BACK AGAIN: Great news today, seeing Chris Ivory out on the field.  He was full go today, which puts him nicely on course to play on Saturday night.  I know we all can’t wait to see that.
  •
  • TODAY WAS THE DAY OF BIG SNACKS: Kenrick Ellis did not practice today, reason not know at the time of this post.  The man who took the snaps in his place?  Big Snacks Harrison.  It’s great to see that coach Dunbar has that kind of confidence in Damon.
  •
  • SIMMS PULLING AHEAD OF MCELROY?: It would be a shame to see a guy lose his roster spot due to an injury, but here it seems possible.  Greg McElroy was not participating in team drills, after aggravating his ankle injury, while Matt Simms connected on a 60 yard TD pass to end training camp.  Could this be the beginning of the end of McElror with the Jets?
  •

We will have one more of these after the final practice tomorrow.

Apologies to @suny_cortland catering. Turns out it's the @nyjets that determine the menu and load up on all spicy food here in Cortland.

LOL

They probably wouldn't feed him lunch now

The Jets' way at getting back at the media: give them the sh*ts for the entire time that they're in Cortland.
