Strifec1209
ok. first i think that chad is going to be next year's starter(to bad), no doubt but the spot for 2nd for a injury proned qb, like penny, is important for next years season i say instead of getting an expensive veteran qb we get a younger qb who wouldnt go down as quick as fielder or get sackes as much as collins. 1. Brooks Bollinger- he's improved a lot, that one game against the 'Fins proved himself. even being sacked 6 times against the dolphins he still threw for over 300 yards, he got a 100+ passer rating in the 2 of the past 4 games. also being voted the most inspirational player helps i guess... he also has a good running ability along with his ability in the passing game. 2. Patrick Ramsey; really he has a good arm; but the redskins really never gave him a chance. his protection was awful, washinton doesnt have much confidence with him as a leader so this pick is pretty shaky. also the redskins just drafted another QB in the first round. 3. David Carr; just imagine Carr behind a good team with a good offensive line.well thats not going to happen with the jets dont have that but still Carr had a 83 passer rating with 49 sacks and 300 yards lost. 4. Philip Rivers; the jets can never get him. if we can get him we should but we shouldnt give up vilma for him, not worth it. 5. Jim Sorgi- im not to sure about him but he did throw for over 200 yards with a 70+ percentage against the seahawks. for the people who say collins, he just doesnt fit in the jets offence. the jets throw more horizontally than vertically dumping it off hoping for some YAC rather than place 10-15 yard patterns. if penny's going to be our qb next year the playbook is goin to be based around his strenghts and his arm strength isnt one of them, then he gets injured and now collins' strenght is more his strenght than his accuracy. just say NO to fiedler, 13 attempts he goes down, his shot is over. im missing somebody... Matt39
If the Jets seriously think Chad can come back and start next season then they are dumber than I thought. Terry, Herm, Curt and Chad baby!! 3-13 here we come!
afosomf
Norm Snead or Joe Kapp both still have stronger arms than Penne

NJ
I'm a lot more concerned with who will be the starting QB.
The Gun Of Bavaria
I'm a lot more concerned with who will be the starting QB. Agreed. Forget backup. If we sign anybody it had better be someone the Jets are comfortable enough to start.
