Green Jets & Ham
At this point it would take a miracle for the Jets to secure the #1 Overall Pick 1. The Jets would have to lose out 2. The Texans would have to beat the 49ers and we would have to win the tiebreaker {we're currently in a dead heat} 3. The Packers would have to beat the Seahawks {who already have the #1 Playoff Seed locked up}, or we would have to edge GB in the tiebreaker if they lose {we're currently in a dead heat} 4. We would have to maintain our current SOS lead over the 49ers {which currently stands at 3 Games} 5. The Saints would have to upset the Bucs at Tampa ... with Tampa needing a win to clinch a playoff spot ... and therein lies the miracle Up until #5 it all looked possible, huh? The Gun Of Bavaria
Good, knowing that should make it easier for all you guys to face and accept the inevitable. That at no point in time was Reggie Bush ever close to becoming a NY Jet. So stop crying about it and figure out who the Jets really SHOULD draft. Our chances at Reggie are good if the Texans beat the 49ers next week! Mark it down. We lose out. We will get Bush. Saints will not draft Bush if they are #1. Texans will beat the 49ers. We will probably win the SOS over the Texans and Packers. We'll be at #2. Bush will be a Jet, like it or not GOB.

Don't u know ALK, his twig sized legs will stand up to getting decleated by a 250lb LB because "No one will touch him". Apparently if he came to the Jets he'd be bringing his own offensive line. The Gun Of Bavaria
Enough with this too small BS. Its just complete bullcrap. Yeah, OK. If you think Bush could come to the Jets and singlehandedly rescue the recurring derailment called a NY Jets season all alone you're dreaming. Fact is if he came to NY he'd better buy stock in whoever makes Motrin, because he'd get the living crap beat out of him.

And please do NOT start with the "trade for the number one pick" posts as soon as the season is over. No player is worth the price it would command to move up, not even an under-sized running back. If you guys are already buying into the hype (and have been since October), then don't you think NFL GM's already know about Reggie Bush? You're not smarter then they are. Deal with it. The only way Reggie Bush will be playing in Giants Stadium is with the Texans, or who ever trades with the Aints.
Green Jets & Ham
Finally some Good News 8) I made a mistake Initially I had the Packers and Jets tied at 128, but the Packers actually have 130 Wins against their SOS I Just edited the board to reflect the correction
RSJ
I agree with GOB here. This is shaping up to be the best scenerio possible for the Jets. If they wound up with the number 1 pick the nitwits that run this franchise would cave into the media hype and draft Reggie Bush AKA Desmond Howard. The number 2 pick is the BEST possible scenerio for this team. Then trade down to 10 (maybe even trade down twice) grab a RB and a plethera of picks. HuskerPatriot
I think the jets will end up at #3 in next years draft. Reggie Bush is a pipe dream unless you trade up to #1 to get him, and that will cost some picks to do. You should be able to get the Best Defensive player available at this spot, which isnt that bad. I know some of you Bush fans hate this idea, but it didnt hurt the pats in 2001 when we got Seymour instead of taking the best offensive player at that point, David Terrell. We don't need a defensive player. We need a quarterback, a running back, a wide reciever, and an offensive line. Ham, I would love to draft Cutler, but I think the front office will just bring in a JAG vet to "back-up" Pennington. I think a running back like DeAngelo Williams would be more likely. HuskerPatriot
I dont know, the jet run D is pretty bad. i wouldnt expect the jets to take a DL since you have drafted at that position in round 1 it seems every year. A guy like AJ Hawk would look pretty good next to Vilma and would help shore up the run D....or you can trade up to get Reggie Bush

That is GREAT news. Now, we're in the #3. All we need is to keep a lead on the Packers in SOS, hope the Texans beat the 49ers, and we beat the Texans in SOS. Then we'd get the #2. Troll, its a valid point about trading. But who would be the team to do it? Lets not forget, alot of action between Ahman Green and Jamal Lewis have to be settled between their teams. If Green resigns with the Packers for a big money deal, they wont be a player in the bush sweepstakes. And I think I remember riggs saying Bush has said he wants no part of Green Bay. 49ers GM eluded to even passing on Bush. He sounds like he wants to stockpile draft picks, so it would be opposite of his philosophy to trade up, giving up future draft picks and players for 1 player. #1 reason why the Saints would not trade down past us if we're #2. Because they dont know, we very well could take their QB. Not worth the risk.

This scenario is what should scare the crap out of you, because making some moronic trade of picks for 1 guy is exactly the type of idiocy that's been Bradway's calling card. On the other hand, with said picks, all Bradway would do is pick more DBs and DEs that won't play like he does every draft. Pick your poison. Exactly! why wouldnt New Orleans take Bush with that pick. They had a 2 RB system a couple years back with Duece and Ricky. I agree that QB is a need for the saints but they can get one in Free Agency (Doug Flutie would be available ) If Bush is the best player in the draft, the Saints will take him

faba
The one thing I know for sure any time Bradway has traded up it has not worked out for us- trading down I do not have confidence in him to make the right picks with the extras
