Latinlawyer
We all know Rex is a great DC. However, he is not a good HC. The guy is too loyal to his favorite players. He cannot sit idly by and watch players blow up and not pull them. Honestly, the SIMMS move should have occurred two games ago after the abortion up in Buffalo. Waiting till halftime at home against the Dolphins shows me has has no sense for proper timing. So who will be the next HC for the Jets? Shaw from Stanford? Cowher? WHO??? dbatesman
Shaw would be the dream. Whisenhunt or Bevell are more likely to be the reality.

SayNoToDMC
I like Shaw but I think he's staying put, plus Woody doesn't hire people with experience as a head coach
RSJ
Wisenhunt, Bevell, Petine or O"Brien (Penn State). No particular order. Hire Mangini back in some form. Dunbar would be a decent DC or Greg Williams.
Kleckineau
Herm Edwards would probably come back if Woody asked nicely.
sourceworx
Whisenhunt is who I like. Bevell more likely, because Idzik is useless.

sourceworx
Mike Holmgren. As long as he's not making personnel decisions, I'd be fine with that. Then again, Idzik is making those decisions, so we're f*cked either way.
dbatesman
Then again, Idzik is making those decisions, so we're f*cked either way. I think it's a little early to be making this kind of proclamation. Or did SeahawksInsider have a lot of anti-Idzik threads, too?
artemusclyde
Most likely Rex Ryan. If he is fired though, hopefully we can get David Shaw. Bevell and the Whisenhunt guy would just lead to more years of mediocrity.

Jetsfan80
Im thinking Rex Ryan will play out his contract. That's dumb. Either you fire or extend his deal. Lame duck just can't be a legitimate option, or Idzik will look like a fool.
artemusclyde
As a lame duck? Or does Idzik tack on 1 year to his deal? Lame duck. Idzik's gonna want him coaching his ass off for an extension and by all reports Idzik is liking Rex so it's looking like their gonna stay together for at least till the end of his contract. dbatesman
Nobody coaches out the last year of his deal. Rex is extended or gone. That's it.

I don't need to scour the Internet for evidence on Idzik. I'm watching the product he's put on the field. He had no money to work with in free agency, so he gets a pass there. But his first draft is shaping up to be a disaster. Three picks in the Top 40, only one looks like he's going to be any good. It's still early, but so far it's not looking good. MexiRoll6
Here's a scary thought....Todd Haley. Somebody would strangle him. I have heard he has a real abrasive personality and actually gets personal with players. Somebody like Mo Wilk is liable to put his foot where the sun don't shine. Haley gets a major no. Bevell too. Another defensive guy we don't want. A more well balanced HC is needed.
