Dee Milliner shut down Gordon

No they weren't.  He had two in the first half where he was wide open with ball delivered perfectly and he just dropped them.  The one in the end zone had tight coverage but the ball hit him on the hands -- never being touched by the DB.  This was a guy people were going to give up a 1st + 3rd or two 2's for.  Guys at that level catch that ball.  Milliner played well and looked like an NFL corner for the first time, but he has a log way to go before "shutdown" can be used.

Calvin Johnson has 9 drops this year and two last week alone that hit him square in the hands without a defender anywhere within 5 yards of him. This myth of a receiver who never drops the ball or makes a mistake is like the fish story. When the guy is putting up 1600 yards and 9 tds, you live with those types of plays. You don't want them, but you can live with them.

For ****'s sake let keep it real. We're all really happy Milliner Finally made some excellent plays in the 3rd QT. The best part about the two big breakups and the pick was he actually broke on the ball. No BS where the DB turns and it hits him in the hands. The cherry on top was it was vs one of the best WRs in the NFL.

The downside is he still looked completely lost in the first half and still gave up some big plays in between the nice ones in the second.

Unfortunately 7-105-1TD is not getting shutdown (if Gordon catches the easy TD). Not to mention a couple other drops throughout. You would also need to add the additional catches and yards via Cooper at times, as well.

So although heartwarming he finally, actually looked like a football player a few times yesterday vs. very good competition he still needs to get a lot better. Let's hope in was the beginning of more to come as you could see his confidence growing as the game continued.

He by no means should be considered a bust yet as CB, minus QB, is probably the hardest position for to learn for a rookie in the NFL.

So yaaay Dee Milliner. You finally made some nice plays. That's good!

Milliner had a nice game.  Not a shutdown game, but a very nice game.  He gave up enough yards, but be fair.  If you are counting they yards Cooper got against him, I'm pretty sure some of Gordon's came against Cro.

He had a very nice 3rd quarter. And yes, all of Gordon's catches were on Milliner. So Cooper's should be added to the total.

Some of you are delusional.  Ed Reed was playing over the top on almost every play for deep help and yet Milner still gave up alot of short stuff because he wasn't looking at the ball whatsoever....  Milner can never play man to man successfully with his technique, it has to be disguised and not obvious or else QB's are throwing his way almost every time, even Campbell knows this and he's not very good..  Don't be fooled so easily, look how the Dolphins passing game was shut down this week, now look at how they torch Milner for over 100 next week....although I still think Jets will win this game.

No worries.  Our new HC and DC will install a defense that relies on zone coverage.

To me he's turn a corner last two weeks, he's making breaks on the ball driving to it. Knocking the ball down and now picking off the Q.B.

BTW any one see Revis get burnt like toast on that TD pass from Brees.

6 TD's from Brees.  4-12 record for the Bucs.  $16M to Revis.
