I feel like a freakin' Jets fan....

.....I'm "kind of, sort of" hoping for a Patriots loss on Sunday. I prefer to face the Jags in the first round versus the Steelers. Snow in the forecast for Sunday. For the first time in my life I hope for no snow on game day.

Feels weird. I'm going to go take a shower now....

Pitt defense is tougher than the Jags. Notice how the Pats lost Light and Harrison that day they played them? I tend to think we would beat Pitt - but how beat up would the Pats be in the process? With no bye week, the less the struggle, the better.

And, do not EVER mention my board name with that piece of poop, Piper, in the same sentence ever again. That persona is the epitome of disgusting, stupid, putrid and classless. K?

Quite honestly, I don't care who we face in the first round. I honestly believe at this point in the season, the Patriots are the best team in the AFC. Maybe not 4 weeks ago but right now, I think there is little doubt. We're going to thump whoever we wind up playing in the first round.

Tampa-Buffalo and the Jets twice (all amongst the worst passing O's in the NFL) will do wonders for your confidence level.

Good Luck though as the Pats are an interesting team heading into the play-offs.

They are hard to make a call on as they haven't beaten a good team (unless you count Tampa) in months.

I would have preferred you had shut down a potent passing attack and shown a better running game but we'll see soon enough just how much the front 7 can make up for a weak secondary.

Blackout, I was wondering. You keep posting pics of old-time players - admirable, I guess - but why? Did you see them play? How do you know they were the best? Some baseball retrospective on PBS?

because I bet you 9 out of 10 people on this forum have never heard of Josh Gibson, Pop Lloyd, Honus Wagner, Oscar Charleston or any other legends who pioneered America's game and put today's players to shame.

I doesn't matter.

My superbowl pick:

Washington vs. Denver rematch.

And sometimes, you don't give us enough credit. And, you didn't answer her second question. How do you know they were the best? Because they were the best players of their era? Or what?

One arguement I've heard about the superstars of yesterday is that if they came up today, they'd be that much better, with the advancement in medicine and being in shape and all that. But, with all that comes the pressure of being great, which is alot more now than it was back then, and the money, and the endorsements, and the distractions. Not just fans or groupies or anything, but like TV, Playstation, X Box, the Internet, and all that. There's no question that they'd be good, probably among the best of this era, but to say they'd be shattering records is assinine.

I love you, Garb, but all the showers in the world are not going to wash that Patsies stink off of you.

wow, whats with the hate? OMG I DIDNT SEE HER SECOND QUESTION, HOLY CRAP!@#@#!

Personally I say players back then were better because they didn't have health supplements, personal trainers, juiced balls, 30-ounce bats, steroids. From statistics that survived, Josh Gibson hit one home run per 10 at-bats, despite playing in 450 foot stadiums most of his career.

Outfielders like Tris Speaker had to cover much more distance in the outfield and play with those dinky little mits, nothing like the huge mits players have today.

Imagine what Babe Ruth would do in todays bandbox ball parks, with health supplements and personal trainers and better medical help with surgery and such? It's incredible, players that good only come along once a lifetime.

And if you adjust his fielding stats, Speaker was the best defensive center fielder ever. I have more to base that on than just hear-say
