Barton
This is late news, but all the radio stations in Minnesota have confirmed that with the signing of Darren Sharper, the Vikings have decided to opt out of the running for Donovin Darius. Previously, the other team that had been in negotations to trade for Darius, the Detroit Lions, signed FA SS Kenoy Kennedy, squashing the chance of trading for Darius. The Jaguars could be desperate right now to quickly find a team to trade Darius too Would YOU trade a 2nd rd pick for this 29 year old safety?? I'm not so sure I would...... YJF
I would trade the second round pick for him. I would do it. He's exactly what our defense needs. Here's the problem though. MONEY. How much does he want and can we afford to pay him. Traditionally, The lowest paid positions are FB, TE and Safety. You can very rarely afford to overpay at that position. It upsets your teams pay scale. You should only do it for certain special players. If there's a way to get him here an not upset our salary cap structure, Then I'd gladly do it.
