BroadwayJoe12
You can literally do this for almost every pick in every draft. This is typical woe-is-me football fan attitude, especially after only one year following the draft. C'mon man, you're usually better than this. fishing92070
The bleeder knows Geno is garbage. Let's face it, there are not too many players picked after Geno that played worse than him. Kind of hard to do.

BroadwayJoe12
Yes, I must apologize that I would like our incumbent starter to improve and produce on the field, how terribly absurd of me. I'm sorry that my relative youth doesn't allow me the insight to what your cynical old age has shown you. I have to imagine that when you're clinging to life in your advanced age, you can no longer wait for development, you need instant results. Mea culpa. No man, it is so much better to overpay a POS like Michael Vick and trade away our entire draft to get a midget like Manziel than to root for the second rounder we drafted last year to turn into a good QB while spending our 50 million in capspace to address the many other holes we have plus add 12 new young prospects through the draft who might help our team. In our new posters' world, doing the insanely stupid thing is always the answer.

In our new posters' world, doing the insanely stupid thing is always the answer. The crazy thing is, that as much as I dislike Manziel and think he's destined to failure, if he was drafted by the Jets, I would be ecstatic if he became the next big thing. However, some of these posters give off the impression that once they make up their mind regarding a player, they'd rather them fail than cheer for a guy they already wrote the book on. It's also getting absurd the relative dichotomy on here: you support a player and you're a Geno lover or apologist or you hate him. Where's the middle ground where you'd like him to do well, but still would like to draft legitimate competition, since you're not 100% certain he'll be your franchise guy? And the notion that just because I believe he'll be the starting QB by week 1, isn't a glowing endorsement of him, just the realization that it's very difficult for a rookie to come into the NFL, learn a new system with brand new players and unseat a guy who's already been in that exact same offense for a year. Especially since that same sophomore QB showed a bit of improvement by season's end.

bealeb319
I don't think geno was drafted to be our quarterback of the future. I think he was drafted as our number two pick because he was thought to be the best available player left. after one season you cant say that he wasn't the best player left a lot of players who make the pro bowl don't get there off of raw talent if they did we would see less rookie quarterback and running backs in there. im not saying geno is great but he is young and still can develop im not against drafting another qb but instead of looking at a top of the line draft pick for a guy who could be a dud we should look at someone like mettenburger who we can get in the mid to late rounds and could end up being decent or end up sucking but we don't take a risk that way. if you draft a qb with the number 1st overall pick and he is a bust you look like a fool. if you draft a qb with the 1000th pick and he ends up being good then your a genius.
