Ike Taylor might just see free agency

I have no reason other than the fact that the Steelers are knocking on $133 Million and Ike is going to have a staggering $12mm cap hit this year. The numbers work as follows:

$7mm in base, 1.8mm prorated signing bonus, 3.1 miscellaneous, for a total cap charge of 11.9mm.

Before you tell me I'm completely ******* nuts, look at what Cro is going to get!

$4mm in base, 1.25mm prorated, 9.4mm misc, total cap $15mm

So, let's say for the sake of argument that both Taylor and Cro doesn't get restructured prior to FA and he tests the waters.

All else being equal, you would think you see Taylor get nabbed up first not only on price but skill. So, for a net gain of $3mm in cap savings, do you snag Taylor, and forgo going after a big safety?

If I'm reading things properly, don't we have $45`ish in cap space, accounting for Cro on the roster? Or is that with him gone?

In that case do you go after both Taylor and a safety?
