ylekram
I'd love it. Still think they need a veteran who can be ready from go street. absolutely. people tend to think that because you draft a wide receiver, the problem is fixed. even if you draft a great wide receiver, they need time to get acclimated into the pro game. the jets should sign a younger potential "keeper" and an older vet for a 1 or 2 year rental. Better2bgreenthanblue
Today reminds me of my high school dates, all promise...no action. Not gonna lie thought for sure we would have signed a veteran WR. I don't get Byrd visiting NO or Revis to Seattle. Seems our money ain't green enuff. I rly hope the wizard of Id knows what he's doing!
BroadwayJoe12
They're getting a player tailor made for their defense and gain and additional $9 million on the cap per year. Gotta give the Bucs new regime credit for realizing a mistake and not hanging onto it.

GangisGreen
Revis or munnerlyn.....if we don't get either we are in trouble and idzik may as well just resign
Integrity28
Vernier deal is good for us. Sets the market at a more reasonable place than 16 mil / year
T0mShane
So what is Mike Tannenbaum up to these days anyway? He would have given Eric Decker a 10 year, $250 million dollar deal by now.
Jetlife33
Top FA WR still out there along with Revis. Jets can still make some noise. I hope
RSJ
He would have given Eric Decker a 10 year, $250 million dollar deal by now. True. But reports are the Jets were not even close to the money the Bucs gave Verner. I'm hoping its because they are going to go get Revis or DRC, and not because they are looking for this years Goodson or Winslow.
derp
Jets have to spend a minimum amount this season...passing on all of these guys almost makes it more likely they'll have to operpay just to meet that threshold. Wonder what Byrd got. And how the Saints are going to afford both him and Graham.
Smashmouth
Vernier deal is good for us. Sets the market at a more reasonable place than 16 mil / year yeah but we could have had Verner for less than 7 per or right at 7. BroadwayJoe12
Vernier deal is good for us. Sets the market at a more reasonable place than 16 mil / year Certainly doesn't hurt. The best things happening were Champ Bailey and Cortland Finnegan getting released, meaning besides Carr's $10 million deal, the five guys tied for the second largest annual per year deal is only at $9.75 million.
