George A. King III of the New York Post suggests that, with Francisco Cervelli, Austin Romine, J.R. Murphy all competing for the backup job, and with prospect Gary Sanchez also in the organization, the Yankees might be willing to send one of these backstops away in exchange for help in the infield.

King also suggests that the Yankees will be keeping an eye on Milwaukee's Rickie Weeks in the event he gets beaten out by Scooter Gennett for the starting job with the Brewers. Dave Miller from Freesportspicksdaily.com has made the NY Yankees 5-1 Odds to win the American League Pennant
