bergenjets
IMO, the answer is no and I really hope they wait until at least their second 4th round pick, if they're going to draft one at all. MAYBE if one of the top 4 are still there in the 2nd, but I would not be thrilled.

JayKwaz
So much rehab Thats Ok. Talent wise I think he has more skills then anyone else in this class. Put him on practice squad for a year. Let him grow up and learn. If he does put it together he could be a star. We have enough picks to take a chance.
Il Mostro
The broken arm was a freak injury and there has been no mention of substance abuse post-rehab. Pachall is exactly the kind of talent you take a flyer on with 7th round picks -- if he is even there.
sirlancemehlot
Derek Carr is going to be the best QB taken since Andrew luck. But no one wants him because he shared a bunk bed with a guy who was drafted by an expansion team and beaten like a rented mule until he was labeled a bust. I read some where that 50-60% of his throws we're within 5 yards. Is that true? Not sure how you can get a good look at a guy in such an offense. How did he look in the Senior bowl? Stonehands
This QB class is very overrated. There are more of them than last year, but the quality is no better than Geno, Manuel and Glennon. None of them can throw downfield, all dink and dunkers. I wait and try to get McCarron with one of our 4th rounders.
HessStation
Bridgewater is my favorite but I'm not gonna be upset if they took any of them. But holy crap imagine if it was Manziel?? lol
Bob Robbins
I'm not sure anybody worth it will slide to #18. Unless we get DeSean, we really need to draft a WR in that spot anyway. If we got DeSean and one of the premier QB's slipped, I can't say I'd hate an open QB competition (hopefully favoring Geno or the rookie and leaving Vick as a last resort) because the rest of our offense would be looking pretty good with the exception of G and TE. sourceworx
I've been watching a decent amount of game footage on the QB prospects lately. To be honest, I like Derek Carr more than any other QB in this draft class.

will
I hope if it works out this way that the Jets will trade down. It seems like there will be a few premium WRs available a bit later in the first round.
BroadwayJoe12
Bridgewater's body of work says he is, but I still wouldn't draft any of them in the first (that's also because I haven't seen more than two games from Bortles or Carr). Mettenberger is still my boy, but also not in the first.

You said the same thing about Geno last year, you're gonna have some mighty sore balls if you do this every year man. I can't imagine Mrs. RJF approves of the savage way you treat your boys. Stonehands
In what universe is AJ McCarron going to be available in the 4th round? Did you see the word "try"? That means, that's the value I place on him. If not there, you move on.
Stonehands
In what universe is AJ McCarron going to be available in the 4th round? I went back to the last ten drafts and the sixth QB taken came off the board anywhere from round 2 to round 5 with the average appearing to be in the late third round. With a pick at the top of the fourth round, I don't think it is an "out of this universe" thought to believe he could be there.

Not sure how you can get a good look at a guy in such an offense. How did he look in the Senior bowl? Ahh yes. Boiling down an entire college career, starting for three years, to a single game--and that game is the freaking Senior Bowl. OK I'll answer. He struggled a bit in the Senior Bowl. Now lets look at the rest of his college career: In 2011: he earned a 144.5 passer rating for the season by passing for 3544 yards and 26 TDs completing 62.2% of his passes In 2012: he earned a 155.9 passer rating for the season by passing for 4104 yards and 37 TDs completing 67.3% of his passes In 2013: he earned a 156.3 passer rating for the season by passing for 5083 yards and 50 TDs completing 68.9% of his passes In the end I like him best because I watched him and several other QB's throw. There is plenty of game tape out there. And Carr can do it all. Especially impressive is his "touch" pass. His arm is trained far beyond his years.
