This guy would be our cost-effective version of Desean Jackson. He is nearly the same size, tested out at least as well at the combine, and was one the most productive receivers in the country this past year. He has no off the field problems of note. My biggest concern with this guy is his size. Will he be able to take the beating of a full NFL season at that size? You know that teams are going to try and rough him up at the LOS.

Don't we already have this guy on our team? His name is Jeremy Kerley

this is like saying we already have Mike Evans his name is David Nelson.

full disclosure I said that a few mos ago.

He's Santana Moss 2.0 with the happy medium of being Kendall Wright currently of the Titans. He's not impressive after the catch as you would think someone his size would be but he's impresses going up for the ball. Interesting prospect to say the least. Pretty fast too but not sure I seen 4.3 speed watching his film but definitely a 4.4 guy.

Fixed.

The 3rd round is like the 1st round for some reason. Alot of good starters are found in this round. I would only draft Benjamin in the 4th given that we have three picks in that round.

Who did Oregon St play?

Lol the PAC-12, which had the best cumulative defense in the country during an SEC down year. He did struggle against Oregon's stud junior (Ikepe or something) but beat a lot of guys who'll be playing in the NFL next year.

Just admit it, you don't like him because he's not over 6' ;)

We have Kerley im in the market for a Calvin Johnson,Anquan Boldin type WR brawler like Watkins,Benjamin or even Evans.

WR Brandin Cooks says he can 'do it better' than DeSean Jackson

Brandin Cooks can't wait to get to the next level.

OK, let's get this straight: Brandin Cooks is a fan of DeSean Jackson.

The incoming rookie wide receiver out of Oregon State gushed about the now former Eagle to Philly.com on Thursday.

"His game is unbelievable," Cooks said. "The man can blow the top off, catch the deep routes, catch the underneath routes, produce in the return game. He's just special. He's a freak. I definitely admire his game."

"Maybe (Eagles head coach) Chip Kelly is looking to take another speedy receiver in that first round, and that could be me. Who knows? And if that's the case, a lot of people will wonder 'Can he do it like DeSean Jackson?' In my opinion, I can do it like him and do it better."

Oh, really? Wait, he's not done talking.

"I feel like I'm the best receiver in this class and I'm not just saying that to say it," Cooks said. "I put numbers that nobody else did this year. At the same time I was facing premier talent."

He's not lying. Cooks had an amazing season with the Beavers in 2013, catching 128 passes for 1,730 yards and 16 touchdowns. The first two stats were Pac-12 records. He won the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation's best receiver, and was a consensus All-American.

"I have respect for the other guys and give credit where credit is due, but I'm able to blow the top off, I'm able to catch underneath routes and take them the distance, but I see myself right up there with those guys, and in that top five conversation, top three."

Cooks did little to discourage NFL scouts since declaring for the NFL Draft, as he ran an impressive 4.33 time in the 40-yard dash at February's NFL Scouting Combine. He also put up the best 60-yard shuttle time since 2006. What's more, he did this without even preparing all that much.

"I was going off my natural athleticism. I knew I had the speed, I knew I had the change of direction. I just touched on everything. I tweaked a couple things, but it's not like I came into training like, 'I need to focus on this 40 and make sure I get a 4.3.' No. I knew I was going to run a 4.3 no matter what."

Well, one this is for sure: Cooks is ready for the NFL. Don't be surprised to hear his name called in the first round ... we'll just to wonder if it will be the Eagles nodding his way.

I would love Cooks on the team, wouldnt mind Beckam, Moncrief in the second would be awesome. Brandon Coleman from Rutgers is my sleeper. I would take him over Benjamin if you are looking for a tall WR. I think Benjamin is going to be the better pro.

Yes, I really don't think Benjamin is a good prospect.

I really like either Cooks or Beckham Jr. It sure would be nice if the NFL script writers do the Jets another favor (obvy the first being Rex/Idzik marriage, the next being Geno) and make it possible to grab one or both.

Is Brandon Cooks really a big play guy? I know he's as athletic as Desean and built in that burner kind of mold, but I read somewhere that he hasn't had a ton of 20+ yard receptions, anyone have any numbers on that?

Last year he wasn't, averaging 13.5 yards a catch but the year before he averaged 17.2, so I think he's more than capable. Anybody else have any insights as to why that number dropped?

As mentioned above, Wheaton was drafted by the Steelers the year prior. From what I've read, Cooks adopted Wheaton's role in the offense, which apparently required more plays coming back to the ball etc. and simply being the focal point of the offense dropped that number a bit.  It's pretty hard to keep that average up when you accumulate 128 or so receptions in one season.

We're gonna get a stud wr with 4.3 speed, thats a good thing,

and from what I've read, the patriots probably won't grab a wr with

their first pick, that in itself is a win for the Jets, I think it's time

the Patriots relinquish the division to us and start their slide.
