jack48
Revis is actually better than Sherman, but Sherman has a better publicity department. Plus, REvis played for a crap team last year. CBs do not win you SBs. It is fool's gold for the Mariners Edited April 22, 2014 by jack48

#27TheDominator
Um.... not yet. Sherman, a fifth-round pick in 2011, is scheduled to make only $1.4M this season despite his All-Pro status. He made only $555,000 last season29/2011: Signed a four-year, $2,222,424 contract. Kleckineau
Hawks actually got to the Superbowl and won. Jets with Revis never made the big show so good for Sherman who is quickly becoming my favorite NFLer. Oh forgot to add Revis is no longer the best corner by a long shot. Jets with Revis never made the big show so good for Sherman who is quickly becoming my favorite NFLer. Oh forgot to add Revis is no longer the best corner by a long shot. By most advanced metrics out there he was the best CB this year, Sherman wasn't even top three. Not to say Sherman isn't a stud, he is, but one doesn't need to belittle Revis just to make others seem better.
BroadwayJoe12
except for last year. When it did As Hess mentioned, at $500k. It's going to be pretty hard to field the same defense when Earl Thomas and Sherman are collectively responsible for $20+ million per season on their cap. joewilly12
The Jets could have had the best CB in the NFL for $10 million a year ..................
stugotz81
If we would have brought back Revis this year, this defense would be set to friggen go...especially after the draft.....plus, we wouldnt even have to consider using a high draft pick on a cb this year and could bring in talent at another needed area. He pricey, I get that...but he a complete shutdown corner...hes worth it. And he definitely is better than Sherman.
Pac
I wonder what team will pony up 13,000,001 for Revis next year. Zero chance he's on NE next year... If they win the SB - mission accomplished so no more need for him. If they don't - mission not accomplished so no need to pay a cb 13 bazillion and 1 dollars. The Seahawks are champions in no small part due to Shermans play. Revis got his payday but not the ring.

Revis got his payday but not the ring. You go by the mouth test, and he has the biggest one so therefore he's the best. We'll see how much his superior play is worth now that they've ditched 2 other CBs.

Sperm Edwards
No, because he's never gonna see the 20. I thought it was more than 20. Closer to 25 (maybe more). Like $8M or $10 as a base plus $1M/game. Something like that.
