Green Jets & Ham
Jets are due to receive comp picks for Jordan, K-Mac, etc ... at least one figures to be a 3rd Rounder Jets trade their own 3rd RD Pick to the Tennessee Titans for QB Billy Volek The trade makes sense because Volek played for our OC and had huge success in his starts under dinger It would be a huge plus if the Jets can bring in a YOUNG VETERAN {29} who knows the offense from the day he is acquired, probably more than any current Jet IMO it's worth a 3 ROUND ONE == 01. Houston Texans - RB Reggie Bush, Southern Cal Casserly may be dense, but he's not crazy .. Dom Davis or no Dom Davis, he's snatchin some Bush == 02. N.O. Saints - QB Matt Leinart, Southern Cal When you bench Aaron Brooks for Todd Bauman, you know it's time to draft a Quarterback == 03. Tennessee Titans - OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Virginia LT Brad Hopkins is 36 Years old, so it's time to nab his successor == 04. N.Y. Jets - OLB AJ Hawk, Ohio State Realizing the offense cannot be fixed in a year, Jets follow Bears blueprint as shoot for a dominant defense == 05. G.B. Packers - DE Mario Williams, NC State Pack was hoping for AJ, but we beat them to the punch so they snatch the dominant end == 06. Oakland Raiders - DT Haloti Ngata, Oregon Slight reach, but the Raiders are desperate for a DT and Al Davis is a notorious Gambler == 07. S.F. 49ers - OT Marcus McNeill, Auburn Last year San Fran bet the ranch on Alex Smith, so they'll do everything they can to make it work == 08. Buffalo Bills - QB Jay Cutler, Vanderbilt Eric Moulds had it right, Losman was a mistake. Bills know it so they bite the bullet and start over with Cutler == 09. Detriot Lions - DE Mathias Kiwanuka, BC Only because they're desperate for a DE and there are no WR's worth taking this high == 10. Arizona Cardinals - QB Vince Young, Texas Young is a Culpepper clone and Denny Green never regretted that pick when he was in Minnesota == 11. STL Rams - CB Jimmy Williams, VaTech Rams catch a break when need meets value at 11 Overall == 12. Cleveland Browns - DL Rod Wright, Texas Romeo learned about creativity from the master {Belichick}, so he snatches Wright to play DE in his 3-4 == 13. Baltimore Ravens - RB DeAngelo Williams, Memphis Jamal is a Goner and Chester is JAG {Just Another Guy}, so Newsome is thrilled to find DW still on the board == 14. Philadelphia Eagles - OLB Chad Greenway, Iowa They can use an OLB and Greenway offers solid value as well == 15. Atlanta Falcons - OT Winston Justice, Southern Cal Another case of need and value being one and the same, and this might be heist at 15 == 16. Miami Dolphins - QB Omar Jacobs, Bowling Green Saban has been around the league since forever, long enough to know that Gus & Sage are not the answer == 17. Minnesota Vikings - RB Laurence Maroney, Minnesota Vikings have a ton of RB's, unfortunately they all stink == 18. Dallas Cowboys - OT Eric Winston, Miami Parcells is not coaching forever and the little time he has left is tied to Drew Bledsoe, so he'll draft a LT and prey == 19. S.D. Chargers - OT Jonathan Scott, Texas It's a miracle Brees wasn't murdered sooner with the Garbage they have at OT, so they tab this behemoth == 20. K.C. Chiefs - WR Santonio Holmes, Ohio State Vermeil has been able to mask the fact that KC's WR's are a mediocre lot, but now DV is Gone == 21. N.E. Patriots - CB Michael Huff, Texas Huff is a stud with outstanding size, which means you should fear BB catching hold of him == 22. Denver Broncos {via Wash} - TE Mercedes Lewis, UCLA That's why Denver is a winning organization, they don't pass on studs like Lewis because of a JAG like Putzier == 23. Carolina Panthers - TE Vernon Davis, Maryland Let the run on stud TE's begin! == 24. T.B. Bucs - OT Ryan O'Callaghan, California 340 Pound Road Grader to pave the way for their shinny new Cadillac == 25. Chicago Bears - TE Leonard Pope, Georgia Let the run on stud TE's end! == 26. Cincinnati Bengals - CB Tye Hill, Clemson Delta has turned into a steal for the Tigers, but the rest of their DB's are pu$$y cats while Tye Hill is a Cheetah == 27. Pittsburgh Steelers - RB LenDale White Steelers would be thrilled if they can replace the Bus with another power back like White == 28. N.Y. Giants - OLB Bobby Carpenter, Ohio State Gints once had success in trading for RB Rob Carpenter, but they experience much Greater success with his son == 29. Jacksonville Jaguars - CB Ashton Youboty, Ohio State Scott Wright {Countdown} makes an excellent point, after Mathis the Jags CB's stink, but Youboty can ball == 30. Denver Broncos - WR Derek Hagen, Arizona State During his Bowl Game there were constant comparisons to Rod Smith, and Denver would kill for anything close == 31. Seattle Seahawks - DE Tamba Hali, Penn State A Sack Artist was the target, Dumervil and Hali were the options, but the Hawks opted for the bigger of the two == 32. Indianapolis Colts - OLB Thomas Howard, UTEP They're finally playing some defense in Indy and Dungy doesn't backslide now, so he adds another D stud == NY JETS ====== RD 2. OG Max Jean-Gillies, Georgia With the TOP OT's off the board, Jets snatch Road Grader {350+} and the consensus #1 OG. RT is a possibility === RD 3. RB Michael Bush, Louisville {Comp Pick} Power runner in the LenDale White mold, could be a massive heist. Ditto Brian Leonard if MB is Gone === RD 4. WR Martin Nance, Miami of Ohio Extremely productive small school WR with outstanding size {6' 4"/210} and nice speed to boot == JETS HAUL ======= QB Billy Volek OLB AJ Hawk OG Max Jean-Gillies RB Michael Bush WR Martin Nance
The Gun Of Bavaria
That would be some irony if the Jets drafted a "Bush" after all.

The Gun Of Bavaria
I like the mock Ham. Gotta get a LT to block for WHOEVER is playing QB next year. I like the 3rd round steal, I'd give my left nut for a 3rd round comp pick

stormshadow19
They're drafting a punter #1 I hear They've got Nick Harris. They're fine at punter. The Lions will finally address their defense, in this draft. I dunno if they're going to draft Kiwi or not. Last year, they wanted Antrell Rolle/Adam Jones/Carlos Rogers, but they were all taken. This year they may take Jimmy Williams.

Maxman
I would be very happy if that kid fell to the Jets at # 4. Talk about filling a need. Hopefully he turns out to be more Orlando Pace and a little less Robert Gallery!

Green Jets & Ham
DO OVER!! I had a change of heart so I made some late edits, including the Jets first two selections See the board at the top of PAGE 1  I'll Give you a hint ... I've decided to shoot for the dominant front 7 and a Super Unit at linebacker
Green Jets & Ham
BTW, I like this draft a lot more than the first one, especially if we can secure a NT via free agency ... that should be our primary focus ... if we can only sign one FA, please make it a fat@$$ nose tackle! Oh yeah, and KEEP JOHN ABRAHAM too!! let's shoot for the dominant front seven and fix the offense as best we can with what we have to work with ... that's why I selected all offense after Hawk and the one trade I made was for a QB DE John Abraham DT FA Nose Tackle TBA DT DeWayne Robertson DE Shaun Ellis == OLB AJ Hawk MLB Jon Vilma OLB Eric Barton That's a sick front seven

faba
I personally do not have a problem picking a stud defensive player like Hawk with the first pick-you give yourself a chance to win with a good defense every week. The Giants for so many years won with this philosophy- play good defense and have a solid running game

The Titans are not going to trade Volek with McNair one hit away from oblivion. They are certainly not doing it for a 3rd rounder. 2. Ngata is not going at 6. 3. Cutler is not going at 8, and the Bills aren't taking a QB unless Mularkey gets fired. 4. Omar Jacobs will not sniff the 1st round much less the 16th pick. 5 The Vikings are going to take another RB??? 6. Tamba Hali will not last to 31st. The good news is you have a few months to rework this.
bitonti
if Ngata is good enough to get drafted at 6 he's good enuogh to get drafted at 4 again if Cutler is good enough to get drafted at 8 he is good enough to get drafted at 3. AJ Hawk is best case like adding another vilma, the Defense already has another Vilma. You said it yourself why would anyone draft LB with an elite pick when we can get Bobby Carpenter a round later? Not to mention all the other great LB in this draft. Eric Winston is about 10 slots too low, mark my words he will be in the conversation at 4 after his Senior Bowl. the guy is like Willis Mcgahee in the sense he was from 'the U' and top 5 before the injury and will be top 5 after it (but his leg injury was not nearly as severe) just a gut instinct: i see Terry possibly addressing CB/WR at the same time in the form of 1 of these two players at the top of the second round: Will Blackmon BC, Devin Hester, Miami - we need speed and the WR crop might not give that opportunity in and of itself.
