GangisGreen
Loved the first two picks....not thrilled with mcdougle. If we had to go corner go with desir, would have gotten better value at we with ellington or bryant

JetsFanInDenver
He may be good. Couldn't we have drafted him with our 4th round comp pick. And that would have been reach. Donte Moncrief here would have been a good pick.

nj meadowlands
Um... Who? This dude wasn't even supposed to be drafted... Wtf? Pierre Desir was still on the board. OH NO! We drafted the Maryland guy over the Lindenwood guy.
Integrity28
Here's my thoughts on this pick. It's a 3rd rounder. He's probably a scheme fit for Rex coming off an injury, and could be a good value gamble. Bellichik did the same thing with his 1st rounder, for context. Integrity28
Nix was BPA. He had a first round grade. I lost track, thought he was finally taken
bitonti
You people have no idea if these guys would have truly been available later on. The draft boards you see are terrible. There was a buzz on this player for weeks prior to the draft. Matt Miller was on the McDougle bandwagon about 2 weeks ago Love sleepers? Keep your eyes on these names: Andre Hal (CB, Vanderbilt), Demetri Goodson (CB, Baylor) and Dexter McDougle (CB, Maryland). All three have been mentioned to me often in the past week as players the NFL likes more than media members do. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2040773-2014-nfl-draft-matt-millers-updated-scouting-notebook

Jettington
I have to believe there is something good about McDougle that made the Jets afraid to possibly lose out on him by waiting. To the people saying he was projected to go undrafted, where are you getting this information from? I'm sure it didn't come from any TEAM. Kiper and McShay liked the pick so there's that. I'm okay with it.... at the end of the day, I trust Rex with defensive backs (maybe this will be the guy that Rex "makes" for Tom) and I trust the due diligence of Idzik. At some point, you had to figure we'd do something that didn't align with Mayock and Kiper's bullsh*t mocks / grades.

ozzieny
WTF is McDougle? This guy could've been drafted in round 6. We needed an OG or a WR. Or CB Desir or CB McGill or CB Roberson - this was a terrible pick - this guy is a smurf. 5'10 is tiny in today's NFL.

CrazyCarl40
3 picks, 3 need positions. I'm not mad about it. WR and OLine help next. Plenty of solid players left.

Jettington
How do you know other teams didn't covet him? They probably did and that's likely why the Jets drafted him in the 3rd. On a separate note, Mcdougle and Milliner look nearly identical, could pass for twins, weird.
predator_05
This is a real question mark, not much to see on McDougal cos of his injuries. I typically don't like these kinds of picks but let's see what Rex can get out of him. Gives us a bit of speed in that secondary.
CrazyCarl40
@eallenjets: CB Dexter McDougle, a 5'10", 196-pounder who played at UMD, is a speedster. He had an impressive pro day, posting a 4.43 and 37.0 vertical.
Integrity28
Coming back into the 3rd round would cost us our 4th from Tampa, 5th and maybe our 6th if we wanted to get in at around 90 or so...

JetsFanInDenver
I know there are some noble attempts to justify this reach. But no denying about it that this is a reach. Sleeper picks should happen in the 3rd round. Period.
