124
His contract. His shoulder...I keep saying this...He was rushed back way too soon last season and with a full 10 months (which is plenty of time) for Chad to get back into the swing of things, he should be ok. This time he has the extra 4 or 5 months so that when he does come back next season, he will have the appropiate amount of time of rest and recovery. Chad was rushed back last season, this time he will not be rushed back because the coaching staff / trainers know they mad a mistake in bringing him back so soon. It's not 5 months this time, it's 9 or 10, huge difference and Chad will hopefully come back and be the Quarterback that he once. Either way, 7 years - 64 million was way too much for a guy who after just based on 2002's performance should've recieved. I think a 7 year - 42 million deal would've been just fine. 4HCrew
I am quite sure Chad will restructure so this conversation is moot. If not he will be run out of town because the cap hit is huge. But would be real curious to see how another coach handles him.
TaborJet
The shoulder. If Chad could have had a healthy, injury-free career thusfar, I could live with his salary, however bloated it may be.
PatsFanTX
they have to restructure it... What incentive does PennyBoy have to restructure? If he says no, he is still guaranteed a boatload of money if the Jets flat out release him and then he is free to go elsewhere.
