JustInFudge
Nobody builds a 5 million dollar anything in Jax. Liar. It's right next to Laverneous Coles 8 mil dollar mansion he built a couple years ago.

stugotz81
I remember when this guy absolutely terrorized Sanchez a couple years ago when he still played for the Eagles.....there was no containing him.....hope he can still bring that to the table. Good addition imo.
Sperm Edwards
Maybe what clicked was haynesworth-less wrecking havoc? Was that same years? If yes, we have some guys that can cause similar havoc inside .. Good for us. I love babin and was surprised his yearly numbers were that low. I've been yammering for a better presence on the edge, so I ain't complaining !! His best year (by far) was in Philadelphia. No Haynesworth there. Wouldn't expect double-digit sacks from him, but it depends how much he sees the field (including how much the defense gets off the field). Wouldn't surprise me to see him in the 7-sack range, but sometimes getting close to a sack is better than actually getting a sack anyway (insert dick-balls joke here). Will be interesting to see what kind of a deal we gave him.
slats
Hayes suggests that Babin simply did not fit in with the rest of the roster, writing: In the locker room, teammates generally ignored Babin's brand of wry humor and intellectual jousting. Hayes also argues that Babin did not relish being a member of the team, and simply attempted to disrupt the quarterback, no matter the cost to the rest of the team: All along, he acted as a single star, not part of a constellation. He was a locker-room lawyer of the worst kind; a me-first, me-last, self-absorbed bully who inexplicably spent an inordinate amount of time shirtless. We'll see how this goes. He'll have to recognize that he's not the single star on the Jets' DL, and my guess is that he will. His me-first, me-last attitude had to take a bit of a hit just by still being a free agent here in July. Despite the fact that Rex Ryan is no disciplinarian, I'm also pretty sure that he (and the rest of the defense) isn't putting up with anyone who is incapable of fulfilling their assigned role. If he's a disruption, I don't think the Jets will hesitate cut him. The Jets still have Barnes and Coples at the position.

I am hoping they plan to use him like Barnes. 3rd down and long and to spell the others. Word was that he was a freelancer that just wanted to go after the QB (Wide 9) and didn't necessarily follow his assignment. That sounds okay for a pass rush specialist replacing Maybin, not for a guy playing the Coples or Pace role on first down.

Il Mostro
Yep. He hated it so much in Jax he started building a 5 million dollar mansion before he was cut. Yeah, but a $5 million in JAX can be built for $1 million.
