bman
or cutler... Who would you want to start next year? Either way, I'd trade a #2 for Schaub/Volek..Maybe it's the #2 we get for Hermy.
Jetheelz
Schaub... Schaub... SCHAUB!! I have liked this guy since first seeing him play in college. He seems to have good decision making skills and can make plays. I don't think Falcons fans want to admit it, but he is a better all around qb than Vick. He isn't a big flashy player that is going to draw alot of attention, but he has the ability to help his team win games, and that is something this team needs desperately-among other things. AFJF
Volek, no learning curve taking 6 or 7 games in to the season to grasp the offense.
Jetidiah Springfield
The thing is, I don't think either will be available. McNair's career is winding down and I doubt they let Volek walk & Vick's playing style is too much of a liability to let Shaub go.

LionelRichie
a starting QB is absolutely worth a second rd pick. i would trade a 2nd or abe for schaub in a heartbeat. i would rather roll the dice on shcaub then spend the #4 overall pick on a QB. Damn straight. If the Jets got Schaub I would have his customized jersey by the end of that week

I would trade a 2nd for Schaub, definately. But, If you trade Abe then what- we go D-Line in the first again? We roll the dice on our D-Line again? SouthernJet
you don't trade a top 5 DE in football for a backup QB. u do if he cant stop the run, is a thug who is one more bad test from suspension ans wants too much money for a one-dimensional player on a team that is 2 years away at least... plus a 2nd round would have to be thrown in,, i wouldnt do it for just schaub,,
LionelRichie
you don't trade a top 5 DE in football for a backup QB. Abe is not going to be a Jet next year, end of story. They are not going to give him a long-term deal or pay him $8+M for 1 season. He is a 1-dimensional player and a locker-room cancer. he does not want to be a jet. if the jets can get a starting QB for abe, who does not want to be here, they should count their blessings. it's like the lamont jordan deal - rather than wait for a 1st rd pick the jets need to make sure they get something for abe instead of letting him walk for nothing. HE NEVER SAID HE DOSN'T WANT TO BE A JET. What he said was he wanted a long term contract wherever he got it from and quite frankly he DESERVES a long term contract. He is a pass rushing DE and most of those type of players are 1 dimentional players. Abraham is better against the run then anyone gives him credit for. The LAST thing that will happen is him walking for nothing. If they don't want to give him a contract (which would be a HUGE mistake because he'll go somwhere and get 15 sacks)They can't get anything less then a mid to high first PLUS a player for him. If they don't sign him it's because woddy johnson is being cheap and it would be an AWFUL sign for the future of this franchise and johnson's willingness to spend the money that it takes to win in the NFL. Players like john abraham don't grow on trees and you don't give one away when you have one.
mbn007
I really want a first from KC for Herm, but most likely it will be along the lines of a #2 and a #3. If so, and we also get a day 1 pick for K-Mac or Jordan, I would do the #2 (kc's, not ours) for Schaub. Immediately.
