BwanaZulia
So we traded people at the end of last season and picked up some others, besides the horrible 2005 season, how did we do in these trades? Rate the move: Coles (B+) Was limited because of QB issues, but stepped up and made big plays. Lamont (A-) Hurt at the end of the season, didn't help his team, still a complainer. He too would have broke a leg behind our o-line. Moss (F) Turns out he is a gamer and just needed the right system. Big mistake. Mickens (A-) Law had a great season. Law (B+) Coulda, woulda, shoulda but he made plays. A few too many penalties and gave people 10 yards to throw in but otherwise was good. Ferguson (D) Needed him in the run game and we suffered for it. What do you think? BZ

BwanaZulia
one of the worst trades in NFL history. It was a trade down as we didn't lose a pick, just went from the late first to early second. We picked up Justin Miller with that pick. BZ

BZ The grades are not bad, and I see where you are coming from, but you can't give a B+ for Coles, and a F for dumping Moss since they happened in the same transaction. bman
Kareem.. Horrible... we need to revamp the line now.. Really, Bradway hading out huge contract to martin and Pennington has been the biggest mistakes yet.

BZ also don't forget that the pick that they traded down for jolley could've been used to select heath miller. plus bradway waisted a 2nd round pick on a kicker who can't kick a 50 yard FG. I agree. Heath Miller turned out to be better than Jolley. Nuuuuuge isn't on my sh*t list till he missed not one, but two field goals to win a game in the playoffs. madmike1
I must have missed those big plays. he had a few nice plays the last 2 games but not much else. i don't blaim him for that though. i think if the jets get a real QB here next year coles will have 1000+ yards. mccarins worries me alot more. he's been a TOTAL bust. they really need another wideout this offseason. Scott Dierking
Kareem.. Horrible... we need to revamp the line now.. Really, Bradway hading out huge contract to martin and Pennington has been the biggest mistakes yet. Yeah, I remeber the legions of fans that were screaming when the Pennington extension was signed Hindsight becomes so obvious. Jets5ever was one of the few that I remember that has room to talk about declaring the Pennington being so bad, on the announcement date. All of these people that have since come out of the woodwork to make this deal sound idiotic, did not exist from teh sites that I read. As a matter of fact, one of the crietria many Jet fans came up with for evaluating Bradway at the time was getting Peenington done. They rolled the dice and lost. Sperm Edwards
I must have missed those big plays. A couple of them were the two dropped touchdown passes in the same game. He did make a nice catch on Vinny's toss-up on MNF, but then the season was long-over by then.

MiamiJet
How off is this? Very. How can anyone forget the Herschel Walker trade? For trading down we got Houston, Miller, and Jolley. Minnesota? They helped establish Jimmy Johnson's Super Bowl teams. When you factor in Wannestadt(sp?) trading a #1 pick for Rick Mirer, or a 2nd rounder for AJ Feely, this doesn't even come close. Sharrow
Not to mention that Heath Miller would have sucked almost as bad if not as bad as Jolley did this season in our offense. I don't think its as big of a downgrade as people think between the two.
