Usually the cuts come in a couple waves. You have the initial cuts, then another smaller round when they're looking to pick up players that other teams have cut. It'd be my guess that they'd be holding onto their draft picks thru the first round, in hopes that they wouldn't get scooped up by someone else, then cut them and stash them to make room for their own waiver wire pickups. I wish Jets beat reporters followed suit. It's not that emotional of a move. The guy can't catch. Move on. Period. Who really cares if he goes somewhere else and has a 50 catch season.
