Smizzy
this offseason. We all know how they have been last to do anything these last couple seasons. Im very happy. Herm for picks...a comp pick for Fergy/Jordan/Kareem. Now get on the ball and get our Hc in place to make roster moves and get a jump on next season. If it's Dinger...hire him tomorrow and let him clean house. If not...Get on the horn and call your candidates and get them in before the playoffs end. don't go on vacation again. Don't fall asleep at the wheel this yr. Keep your eye on the ball and for the love of god follow thru for once. We need a HC in place ASAP. We don't need to rush someone in but we need to make a list of guys we want and go after the top 3 HARD! I wouldn't mind seeing someone promoted from within but if that is the case do it ASAP. Let's get 2006 started the right way.
Jimmy 2 Times
I can live with Dinger as HC. He's had a season to evaluate the players (and get to know the injured ones), is a hard ass, and developed Bollinger into a future NFL journeyman. The guy can coach. The guy can coach. if the job is dinger's, it will be interesting to see how many assistants he retains from herm's staff. there was a recent article about how few of the position coaches had experience. my guess is that dinger would clean just about everyone out. even dick curl

Bugg
MSG posted a montage of recent Herm press conferences during Sportdesk, including the one where he whined about reporters. Edwards was ranting, raving, stomping, yelling, pounding his hand. There was the day after the Ravens game where he biatched about the organization putting him as the injury update guy. But what he forgot to mention is other coaches as a policy don't ever disuss injuries. But Edwards, as "face of the franchise", insisted and choose to take on that role. The last clip was him saying "I'm not a liar". The effect was as if they gave a homeless guy begging at the subway or picking up cans an audience, a podium and a microphone. He must have been a joy to have around the office. At some point milqutoast Woody probably got fed up with his act and told him to get the eff out. The Gun Of Bavaria
The Jets will screw this up mark my words. This franchise is incapable of reading the intelligence on the wall and preparing a immediate course of action, kind of like Herm's clock management. They will blow this like a $5 hooker during Fleet Week in NYC.

NIGHT STALKER
I could be mistaken (someone correct me), but if the Jets are targeting several coaches that are involved in the playoffs, don't they (Jets) have to wait until that team is eliminated before a coach can be contacted? mbn007
I would like Tim Lewis, DC of the Giants. That unit has injuries on top of injuries, and they played pretty good this season. Maybe he will turn out to be John Fox, the 2nd!!

Yeah, I am not really sure that Dinger has proved he should coach this team, but if the Jets decide to go with him, I hope he can do it and will excited to see what he does. stormshadow19
So... the Jets got an extra foruth, should get comp picks for MacKenzie, Jordan, Fergie, and Becht, and could get their coach tonight. Plus trading Abe (which should be done, get out of cap hell that much faster) for a first and third minimum... it could be an exciting offseason. Smizzy, Guns... stop with the lover's quarrel! You're tearing the family apart!
