Jet Nut
That pass was late, from memory. decker was open and had already turned to the QB before geno threw, he should've thrown it as he was coming out of the break. It took a great play by Woodson though, you are right on that The salas pass was slightly overthrown, but admittedly he should've had it. I think C- is too low, maybe a C ... but again, and INT and 2 fumbles + that horrible sack costing us 3 points.. Hard to give someone a B for that. He gave the raiders 7 and cost us at least 6, maybe more. If he does that against anyone but bottom feeders starting rookie QB's, we lose that game. 1 fumble. And even that fumble should have been overturned, his knee was down. B- or a B should be his grade. Plus you don't rate off a stat sheet, you rate off how he looked and played. Listen, he looked better then last year (not the Atlanta game), it was a good start, but still a game filled with critical mistakes. Teams generally don't win when their QB gives away points and takes points off the board with bad mistakes. We were fortunate our defense held the raiders to nothing

Plenty of QBs win tons of games making mistakes. More mistakes than Geno made yesterday. Most mistakes made by QBs ultimately cost them points, I get that but mistakes are part of the game, no QB plays clean every game.. He played well, made a couple of mistakes. A pick, a fumble and a sack. Sack came when the game was over, Raiders, weren't winning. So it happens, two mistakes and still able to win. Will happen again. But the important thing is he's developing, looks and played better than before. It what developing QBs need to do. They all start off badly, it's how they develop.
