(CNN) -- A former exotic dancer has filed a lawsuit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, accusing him of sexual assault.

In the suit filed Monday in Dallas County, Jana Weckerly claims that Jones assaulted her in 2009 and that the Dallas Cowboys knew about and covered up the incident.

Weckerly is seeking "monetary relief of over $1,000,000," according to the suit.

Reaction from the Cowboys was swift.

Levi McCathern, an attorney representing the Cowboys, called the allegations "completely false" and "a shakedown."

"The legal complaint is unsupported by facts or evidence of any kind," McCathern said in a written statement. "This is nothing more than an attempt to embarrass and extort Jerry Jones."

Weckerly's attorney says his client is in hiding. The suit claims that the 2009 incident caused the 27-year-old to fear for her life.

In the aftermath, the suit says, Weckerly has suffered depression, dealt with substance abuse and has attempted suicide.

The suit is not clear on exactly when the alleged assault occurred, saying it happened "sometime in May or June." But the suit alleges that the owner penetrated Weckerly with his fingers and forced her to touch his genitals without her consent.

McCathern pledged to fight the complaint. He added that law enforcement is now involved "due to the seriousness of these baseless allegations."

I think I will reserve judgement on this one.  Filing suit this week, five years after the alleged incident took place, when NFL and sexual assault is in the news and there is a heightened sensitivity to it.  I will be curious to see how this one plays out, but not necessarily going to buy into the story just yet.

What's the statute of limitation on getting a blowjob?

Case reads like a huge pile of bullsh*t. A stripper suffered emotional distress because she watched Jerry Jones get a blowjob? Seriously? I like how the Cowboys are named in the suit because they retained Jones, and failed to adequately monitor him, too. He owns the team. What, exactly, were they expected to do after their owner fingered a stripper?

I'm no Jerry Jones fan, and I'd like to think I have some respect for women's rights, safety, etc., but I'm having a tough time believing a word of this.

She was so aggrieved, horrified,   upset by this eggregious tortious experience  that she quit college, got DD implants, stsrted snorting  cocaine as a breakfast food, began working the pole and changed her name to Infinity.

On a side note, I always figured it would be so much easier to get laid once I become a billionaire.  Nope.  Having that kind of scratch means dealing with shakedowns and extortion. No thank you!  I'll keep my sh*tty salary and finger whoever the hell I want!!  If they don't like it, they can slap my face and call me names--like a normal girl would.

Also, you gotta figure when a billionaire walks into a strip club, the girls are falling over one another to sit on his lap.  I'm sure he treated her well (financially at least), the fact that she didn't run to a lawyer until now is awfully curious.

I would imagine the pictures released a couple of weeks ago with Jerry with those two girls had a lot to do with this.  It shows that he has a certain attitude toward women which could be used against him in this case.

Personally I don't have an issue with a guy willing to pay for sexual romps, but I guess the girl is trying to prove he went beyond what she consented to.  What the hell, let her make her case, you never know what might come out.  She could be BS, or something might have happened.

Whether the story is bullsh*t or not, Im sure Jerry Jones is asking his lawyers right now.....how much can I pay her to shutup and go away?

I doubt J.J is gonna wanna waste his time proving her accusations to be false.  I know thats what I will do once I become a millionaire-billionaire.

She better hide. Mr Big Time will have her iced. Isn't he like 80 years old? Couldn't she have just kicked his bony ass?
