Thank Sheldon Richardson for that timeout

Sheldon Richardson still isn't the head coach

@SethWalderNYDN: From the league: only a head coach can or player on the field can call a timeout but play was called correctly because...

@SethWalderNYDN: when a snap is imminent, refs are instructed not to turn attention away from field in order to verify who called the timeout.

@MikePereira: If you get a last second timeout request (like in jets game), you grant it.

You don't have time to turn around and see who is calling it.

Brees and the Saints openly criticized Goodell and the NFL on how they handled the Ray Rice incident and said he should be judged the same way he judged them. Saints are 0-2 now

Very true, look how they f cked Al Davis with the Tuck rule...Those grudges never end with the League Office.

Translation:

So we like, have this rule and stuff...but it's super hard to enforce sometimes, so we don't.

Sweet.

Nope. Morningweg motions for the time out but the ref doesnt see him. Richardson walks up from behind and says TO to the ref . Go look at the tape. Dont worry ill post pics soon.

Okay. So, like I said Morninwheg wanted the time out. Richardson was the messenger, not the initiator. He probably thought he was being helpful, which is ironic since that bullsh*t they pulled on the 2-point conversion was the beginning of the end.

The curse of the time out.

HC Billick was fired in 2007 the season DC Rex called the TO costing Baltimore the Pats game.

Before its said and done, HC Rex may be fired 7 years later when OC Marty called a TO costing the Jets the Packers game.

Baltimore would go on to land a HC that rights the ship and land a franchise QB and win a Super Bowl.

History repeats itself. The Jets are next.

MM cost us the game with his Schottenheimer-esque play calling. The TO was just the cherry on top. Gotta love him running CJ up the gut late in the 4th on consecutive plays when the hadn't done jack all day and should be used outside anyway.

Rex's D play calling late in the 2nd quarter let Rodgers march right down the field. 97 yards was it?

Dee Milliner is awful.

Jordy Nelson is kinda good.

Refs are total sh*t every single week. It's no excuse. Although 2 Personal Fouls and an ejection on the Jets and nothing at all on the Packers during that little dustup was pretty ridiculous.

Our O put up 24 points.  Obviously GB has a powerhouse O so it's understandable our D would give up more than they normally would but 24 points should've been enough.  Prior to the game I'm sure Rex would've been thrilled if he knew the O would put up 24.

There was an interview a few years ago where the reporter asked Ozzie Newsome about whether he would ever reconsider his decision on not hiring Rex for the head coaching job and Ozzie just smiled and said that Rex's particular style of coaching wasn't the right fit for the head coach of the Ravens. There's a reason why Ozzie is one of the best in the business.

These NFL players need discipline and the HC cannot be their friend letting them say and do what ever they please.

Richardson getting ejected had to have hurt the D, but he was doing just what Rex proudly told everybody would do if involved in a skirmish.

Richardson got ejected too?  I was in a bar with no audio but it looked like Mo Wilk got booted and Sheldon stayed.

I meant Wilkerson.

Gotcha...that was a dick move by Mo Wilk...and the image of him laughing it up as he walked off the field was the most disappointing thing of the night for me.  He's supposed to be a leader on this team.

I saw that pic. Egging the fans on.

Looked he didn't care that he was booted out.

Well then it's a good thing they are saving up that 22 Million.

Is there a reason he's playing fullback? Bohanon is actually good in short yardage...or is this just Rex getting his guys stats? Richardson gets treated as if he's Richard Dent. We dont need him playing the fridge roll...we need to be good before we start messing around.
