A lot of people are about to be fired in Baltimore...

Put 2 and 2 together here.  They saw the video from the start.  So how else did Rice suddenly go from being a quality citizen and one worth protecting to the most evil of villains in all of this?  He was the face of the Ravens, but the moment the video went public and he no longer was marketable, they decided to make him the scapegoat.

Everyone saw the first video. Everyone knew what happened. The second video re-fanned the flames even worse and the Ravens and the league were forced to cave. There was nothing they could do anymore. You're making this cover up all in your head. Biscotti offered him a job after his career was over- basically par for the course for every player.

They knew what happened from the start yet clamored for Rice to receive the lightest of penalties, while some in the Ravens org wanted him cut immediately.

They only made him the villain after the public outcry.  Then lied about what they knew and when they knew it.  But yeah, keep thinking this is a non-story.

That's not helping your case.  Like, at all.

You still haven't made a case detailing where this cover up was, considering the Ravens saw the first tape when everyone else did and Rice admitted to knocking her out. How does one cover up something that the public  already had full access to via videotape?

the funniest part is that if the NFL had just suspended Rice 6+ games in the first place, none of this would have happened.

This is 100% true. Rice's history of being a good guy in the community and have zero transgressions prior to this was the worst thing that could have happened to the league or the Ravens. They bought his and his wife's story about it being a one time thing infused by alcohol and to go lightly on them. The league agreed and it was bad. If Goodell's dumbass just suspended Rice for half the season all of this sh*t goes away.

The public didn't have access until Sept 8th via TMZ.  The Ravens and law enforcement had access since February.  Yet the penalty went from 2 games (pre-TMZ) to indefinite (post-TMZ) on Sept 8th.

It's quite clear what happened here.  The Ravens wanted to protect their star RB until it was unmarketable to do so.

The second video did show things the first didn't.  Like that Janay was not so inebriated that she half passed out on her own.  That was open to question after the first video, not a question after.  We saw on the second video an alert woman having an argument with her fiance/husband, her coming over to him to continue the argument, and getting a haymaker on the jaw.  It did change things.

And that's a cover up how?

Everyone knew Rice knocked her out prior to seeing the second video. Rice admitted to hitting his wife rendering her unconscious. The second video re-started the story back up and Rice's image fell right back to square one. His image was tarnished after the first video was released.

Would agree, however Rice admitted to knocking her out in the police report.

I don't think you read the OTL report.  I get it, its long and you don't care.  But basically the Ravens offered Ray Rice a job in their front office if he stays quiet and takes the fall for everything.

The NFL and the Ravens were untruthful about every step in this process.  The Ravens did everything in their power to keep Rice from getting a heavy legal punishment and a lengthy suspension from the NFL.  But when the video was released, suddenly it was Rice who had lied and they threw him under the bus.

If they had simply admitted they bungled this it would have gone away much quicker.  But as is always the case, the coverup is ALWAYS worse than the actions themselves.

anybody put their name to those accusations ?

sorry, I can't care anymore

was anyone mystified as to how his fiance became knocked out in the elevator ?

this is all so ******* stupid

Well it was pretty obvious he knocked her out in the elevator.  The way he dragged her out of the elevator like she was a used piece of luggage was the telling point

that he clocked her.  Had she fainted, wouldn't he have picked up her in a concerned manner and got her out of there without the door hitting her leg and calling for help?

Before they went into the elevator, he even spit on her. They were feuding big time. The Ravens and the NFL stuck their foot up their collective azzes.

They should have just come clean, immediately....fined, suspened, cut, whatever and made some contributions to DV and moved on.
