That's true, but it would be a great vacation being in Vegas this week to gamble, get drunk and watch the games. Thats something I want to do eventually

It seems that a bunch of these kids on the rosters are out there to do the same thing.  The few years I went out to play in the WSOP, it was during the Summer League, which was obvious when I wasn't able to count the number of dudes taller than me in a casino one one hand.  I remember seeing Pavel Podkolzin (fairly sure I was the only "civilian" in Vegas who recognized him) scrunched into a seat at a Cirque show that I thought was lacking in leg room and he's a foot taller than me.

The Knicks summer league. Jesus man. Go play with your kids. Read a book. Watch some old Seinfeld. Anything but what you're doing to yourself.

I need my basketball fix. Plus, I made my kids watch it with me.

Porzingis plays D, can shoot and - wow what a concept - likes to use the bankshot to increase his shooting percentage.

KP has been looking good.  Glad you turned around on hating him.  :D

But, seriously, he's just 19 and the only criticism is that he has a tough time getting post position because of his weight, which, of course, he can just add as he enters his 20s.  Plus, some media people are talking about his rebounding, but he's doing textbook box outs and other players are getting the rebound.  I like what I've seen this last 2 games from him and the Knicks, who have been playing D.

Porzingis will never be a great rebounder but that's not his game. He's a scorer who can cover ground with those long arms on D which doesn't show up in a box score but is how you win in the NBA.

Phil's doing a halfway decent job.

Seriously?  Two summer league games can change your opinion?

I don't believe I've killed Phil too bad. Once they lost out on Towns and Okafor might as well take the upside euro. Yeah they overpaid for Lopez, but not absurdly. No Monroe- that's good. As long as they stop trading away picks and continue to annoy Melo we'll be ok longterm.

This is like a perfect storm for you.

I think Phil leaked the Lin interest just to troll Melo.

I've had two coaches and one GM in Las Vegas tell me they would have taken Kristaps Porzingis first overall. Latvian Mamba-mania.

Howard Beck retweeted Frank Isola

Likewise, had a longtime GM tell me he had Porzingis ranked 2nd, behind only Towns.

You know when Beck and Isola are in any type of agreement there's something wrong in the Universe.

Absolutely.

Isola (which is Alosi, the Diddy-punching-football-player-tripping-football coach) has been high on KP, mainly I think because the Knicks fans hated the pick.  Once the fans start loving KP, just watch.  Isola will be trolling Knicks fans with KP-hate.

Since they hired Phil, have the Knicks still been doing the thing where they won't speak to him?

Porzingis is LEGIT for a 19 year old. His game will only improve with time & a pro-regimented diet & training. His fire is undeniable and, even in his interviews, he comes across as well spoken & respectful towards the game. Very refreshing to see the Knicks make moves and the draftees play well thus far.

Mostly all positive since the draft. Still praying to hear Melo is eventually traded away in a blockbuster deal.

in the championship game, okafor had numerous times where he didn't block out on the defensive end, he watched the ball like an 8 year old.  it must kill coack K deep inside to have a kid for 12 months and he won't even block out.  after that my okafor love was gone

Looks like Phil was right about Porzingis. If he has half the heart Dirk has he will be a good player.
