Tennessee_Jet
It's all about the money. Lost a lot of respect for Mr. Edwards. He's always preaching character, loyalty, etc. It was all BS. Good riddance!!!

Good riddance!!! I have been reading every article out there, but where do you get this stuff? Do you have any real facts or are you just taking forum conjecture and turning it into fact? joewilly
to say herm edwards is not a man of character based solely on what recently transpired is foolish. I believe that if ownership & management indicated to Herm that they believed in him & wanted him to coach ny he'd still be here. Who on this board wouldn't leap at the chance at a better job opportunity with more money & less stress along with a brighter future? Especially if the wrong signals are being sent to you by your present employer. guess what folks, dumbass Herm came out the big winner & looks to be the brightest in all this. Bugg
Remember when Edwards had no problem with Abraham's failure to report to camp? Simply he's a coach, but he still thinks like a player. And that is bad management. When you move up the ranks your obligation is to management, not to be one of the guys. And Edwards still doesn't get it. He is management, but he still thinks he should be friends with everyone. Can't do it. Mike Ditka-an ex-player-had no problem realizing that he wasn't a soldier any more but instead was now an officer. It may not be fun; it may piss players off; but that's part of the job. And this whole"I'm underpaid!" whine is just another indication that he still thinks like a player.
