There you have it. This has nothing to do with reporting.

This is just plain and petty revenge take by this media for the lack of drama the past two years unlike the great era of the Gm before him.

ther Woody Johnson is angry: We're all angry, we're all disappointed. It's very disturbing. #nyj

what's the point of that tweet? lol

They finally have their chance for an all out assault..  The media, specifically the local media, despise John Idzik.  They rely on GM's to give them insider information to make their lives easier but Idzik doesn't give them anything.

They exact their revenge by writing Idzik sucks articles and today are having a party over his misery.  I mean just look at the tone of these tweets..  If they were just doing their jobs they wouldn't be adding all the snark..  fact is they don't like him and they're loving the fact he's catching heat.

I know. They're ruthless. I hate the media. That said, Idzik still blows. But it's like watching a stoning to death, you think, if you just had a gun...end the guys misery and all.

I wish we could have seen a team without injuries and an AWOL Patterson but it is what it is..  right now this team sucks.  I'm in Bills country and watched with a couple Bills fan buddies.  Yesterday was a punch to the solar plexus.

You have to think Rex will be fired but I gotta say it would be hysterical to watch the pandemonium in here if he's retained.

I don't have a problem with firing Rex. I have a problem with keeping Idzik to pick out the next hC and the next draft picks.

I can't envision a scenario where Idzik is fired.  Seems like just yesterday Woody spent a couple hundred grand for Korn Ferry to help narrow down his choices.  Billionaires don't like admitting mistakes and won't be strong armed by Manish Mehta and Brian Costello.

I would think the only way it's even considered is if they finish 1-15 and lost their remaining games as soundly as yesterdays.

I tend to agree on what will happen. It's not what should happen. But it will.

You are most likely right, because Woody is the biggest assclown owner in football outside of the Davis' and we are Raiders East, but if there were any Idzik supporters before that press conference left, there really cannot be any left, that was about as comical as it gets.

I would have had more respect for him if he threw Rex under the bus and said the players are there, its up to the coaches to get the most out of them.

Instead he beat on his cock with a rusty hammer for 40 minutes and basically said we have had some bad luck and we try real hard.

man I really feel sorry for us-we are fans or a team with a clueless owner who is a rich kid with a very expensive toy and a GM who thinks that it'll all be OK if we just stick to the plan and a head coach who has somehow scammed the idiot owner and his minions into keeping him as the head coach even though he still, after 6 years has yet to LEARN anything about how to run a COMPLETE football team. We are so f*cked guys, there is no end in sight either. All we have now is the hope that somehow, someway a Joe Hardy-like QB drops into our lap the way that the last one dropped into the Patriots lap. Only thing though is if one suddenly does, we will never recognize it and probably just release him to be picked up by some other team we hate to win championships.

So not only are we the most incompetent NFL team going but we are also the unluckiest and the most clueless because NOBODY at the Jets facility CAN SEE IT!!!

I want to hear this PC later..  something tells me it's not nearly as bad as people are saying.

I mean this is a mandatory thing..  he has to make himself available to the media a couple times a year.  Does anyone think he's doing this as a result of yesterdays game?  It's been scheduled for weeks or maybe months.

He was going to get killed by the scribes no matter what he says.  If he plays it confident and says "potential coup" they kill him..  if he's apologetic they kill him..  if he shows anger they'd say he's lost control..  nothing he said today would have led to positive tweets.

come on source, stop with the "it's all the Jets beat reporters fault" routine. It's not, it ALL about incompetence and just because there are guys willing to call it the way it is doesn't preclude the fact that it's the truth-Johnson/Idzik/Ryan all are in over their heads-all 3 of them and the worst part about it is-they don't even know it or are able to see it. Sad state of affairs unlike anything i have ever seen in New York sports.

I was an Idzik fan. But after that Presser? I have to agree with that fat fool Francessa. I wouldn't want this guy drafting any more players or running my team after that nightmare today.

lol how hard can it be to draft starters for the least talented team in the NFL? i can understand if the team was loaded but how can you whiff when you're already starting borderline CFL level talent?

Yeah, I'm not one for over reaction and have also been a big Idzik supporter but it was bad.  If his handling of this press conference was anything like the way he handles the organization he shouldn't be making another decision, at all, for this organization.

What irks me with Cannizarro is his insinuation that Idzik deserves scrutiny because he hasn't been open with media. As if that would have made things better.

Idzik deserves scrutiny because his drafts have been sh*t. It has nothing to do with being nice to the Post's resident fatso.
