Great news for Paul Posluszny

Despite rampant media reports in PA. that the star Penn State linebacker would miss all of next season and more, he's seems to have gotten great news regarding his knee.

The Associated Press reports Penn State linebacker Paul Posluszny suffered partial tears of two ligaments in his right knee after a hit at the Orange Bowl, but won't need surgery.......Posluszny suffered partial tears of his posterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament. He will be sidelined six-to-eight weeks.......Posluszny, a junior, had said he was considering foregoing his senior season to enter the NFL draft. It is not clear how the injury will affect his decision.

that is great news r44.

I was sick when I saw the replay & my 1st thought was that the poor guy is screwed.

Plays like that make the decision for juniors wondering whether to do the right thing & finish their education or jump for the money while they can.

thanks for posting as I kinda forgot about it

You hate to see any career threatening injury to a player so this is good news

Brian Leonard announced yesterday coming back to Rutgers- a little surprising to me

JW, give Dr. Jerry Punch of ESPN a ton of credit, the minute after it happened he told Holly Rowe Puz's sideline treatment wasn't consistent with a serious injury, based on what he saw.

In the days after, the PA media ran with the nonsense that he'd miss a couple seasons.

Actually, Monday Night Football should hire Punch over someone like Sam Ryan, who adds zero, except a female face

Faba, simply can't buy Leonard decision. He scored 17 TD's this season, has all the tools and has spent 4 seasons at Rutgers already.

What makes it more bizzare, is fullbacks, by far, have the shortest careers in the NFL, than any other spot.

Basically, he trading a season of pay at the Pro's, for a 5th season at Rutgers :?

For a QB, who can play until he's in his 30's or 40's, it's okay, but even the best fullbacks are spent after 5 or 6 seasons in the NFL, being used as battering rams.

********

SD, scary part is some insiders suggest PSU sophomore linebacker Dan Conner might have better potential down the line, due to his workouts.

Watchout for junior Tim Shaw, too......He's a 225 LB with better speed than Puz and Connor....Could be a mid-round player in time, as a strong safety or linebacker.

How about that talent at Linebacker University?

Riggo-Conner is more of a workout warrior, Pos is a football player. He has football speed and the motor.

Conner just needs to commit to the game more, and he can get to where Pos is. Shaw is very fast.

And Riggo, don't think that I forgot who brough Kilmer to everyone's attention, baout 3 months ago here. He saved the night on Tuesday/Wednesday.

Some team will make good use of him as a special teamer at least.

Do you think Robinson can be a project saftey or anything in the NFL?
