Mark Sanchez Talk - MERGED

Recommended Posts

By the only guy who prophesied all of this. I think its only right. lol (I did think it would be the Dolphins or Bills, but this works since we are now being embarrassed with mike vick under center as the result of what amounted to a trade---washed up has been villian for young all american franchise 6th overall, best w-l record and most playoff wins of any jet qb ever---straight up! So typical!

Ok., not saying another word until the probowl chatter begins. Then ill come get some more props. lol

trust me, guys.....I'm not enjoying this. Sure, you would think that it would be a good feeling, to be proven right after you told the world that Sanchez WAS a very good QB, and a winner, when not one person would listen. But, trust me, being able to see through mass ignorance is an extremely frustrating gift....and in THIS case, it's downright painful.
Damn, I wish I was wrong......but I'm not and Lord knows I tried, but what could I do? smh So now I'm supposed to feel some sort of satisfaction because Mark Sanchez IS going to blow up before all of our suffering eyes....and there will be no where to hide for guys like Ray Lucas and Phil Simms.
Fellow Jet fans, I didn't want this to happen.

Seems a little early for a victory lap, but knock yourself out.

Lol...ur right, a couple of weeks early, so I could get front row seats to watch all the turncoats jump on his ----. I mean, u have to cut me SOME slack considering how I was crucified for insisting that he was a talented, clutch QB who could win big games for you, pointing to his game winning drives, playoff performances and 37-31 record overall..and repeating the mantra that the GM had dismantled the offense around him. Its almost impossible to say nothing.

Still, I reiterate that Im NOT enjoying this. Plz, before u nail me to the cross a second time, realize that all the pain that Jet fans are going to feel in the coming weeks seeing OUR franchise QB playing his ass off for Philly, while we get embarrassed with Michael Vick......Ive been feeling for years now. :(

Btw. I dig ur avatar.

Feel better now, don't you? You're welcome.

sanchez leading the iggles to the playoffs, revis in a bromance with brady, cro is one of the best corners in football

should be an entertaining run, lol

All 3 would have been enjoying success as Jets if there was just an ounce of competence. Unfortunately, between woody, tannebum, idzig and bradway...,they REALLY arent qualified to organize a pop warner team. Seriously. Not one of them arrived with a shred of football knowledge. smh LOL

Don't forget Pettine is in the running for Coach of the Year.

Pettine is in a different category tho. He's a Rex Ryan protege (the ONE guy in the organization who CAN spot talent) who was good enough to move on. It was very natural...and props to RR and pettine. I wish him the best.

The other 3 are painful gashes of stupidity inflicted on the most tortured fanbase in history. 3 exclamation points at the end of our most embarrassing season yet....capping off a four year free fall. smh

They should sign us up for another hard knocks, be entertaining.

Cotchery was let go because he was coming off a knee injury and wanted a big contract. Braylon was let go because he was straight up insane and you couldn't trust him with a contract. Where Rex comes into play was in bringing in two of the biggest thug-turds in the history of the league to join Santonio Holmes, who was similarly a scumbag. This was during a period where Shaun Ellis, Tony Richardson, Thomas Jones, Brad Smith, etc--everyone on the roster you'd describe as a veteran leader--was leaving the team. Rex killed himself by filling that leadership void with swaggerific douchebags who destroyed the locker room.

Braylon Edwards did nothing "psycho" here except play his ass off. The real psycho who couldnt be trusted with a contract got a contract. Nonetheless, they were let go and not replaced.

At least you're not waffling.

Wow...where were all these Sanchez supporters two years ago!?

NOBODY made such a post then.

I hope he does well. I'd love to know if it was Rex or Tanny that dumped all of his targets in one off-season aside from Holmes. That's what sent him in a downward spiral IMO.

I cant believe what I'm reading. lol

Sanchez stinks. He has a career qb rating in the same neighborhood of Bradford , Fitzgerald, Freeman and Kitna.

He makes as many bad plays as he does good ones and you can never trust him.

He's inacurate, he doesn't see the field and he crumples under a blitz.

But the worst thing is he's not football smart. Remember the red, yellow, green? That was embarrassing.

lmao

After that I remember him saying Sanchez was the best QB the Jets had had since Namath. Everyone called him an idiot and a troll.

Your day of vengeance has come.

Switch SARS for lancemehl and welcome to jetnation. But let me tell you there is no glory. Especially since you cant bump posts from that far back. Lol.

Instead of vengeance I've decided to become a Philadelphia Eagles fan for the foreseeable future. It's nice to be right though.

And watching Rex Ryan, John Idzik, and Jets Insider go down in the same year is a nice Christmas present.

SAR I

+1. this is my first time seeing him live. This is horrible. Hes so good. lol aways ways. Smh

The truth is outside of 2012, it's not like we weren't seeing the same kind of crap out of Sanchez during his time with the Jets, which is why I didn't get all of the ranting and raving about him in recent weeks, either here or in the media. There were plenty of moments that would make you think he actually might be worth a damn, it's just that they would always be followed by some of the most mind-numbingly stupid throws and/or decisions ever seen which, despite the best efforts of many, could not reasonably be blamed on anyone but himself. His first two years I mostly defended Sanchez because it seemed like the actions of a young kid who was still trying to figure things out, and could potentially correct them, but enough is eventually enough and after 6 years there's no more excuses to be made, the guy is a complete dipsh*t and there's little reason to believe that's ever going to change. 6 INTs and 5 fumbles in 4 games is laughably bad. We're literally talking Geno Smith levels of bad, at least in terms of turnovers. Being less awful than Geno in other areas is still pretty far off from being any good.

30 for 43 for over 300 yards.....Ill take those 2 INTs if we're scoring 40+ a game. Look guys, the kid is good, and we f---- up. Its really that simple. He playing great. And I had to say this, but most great QBs make a couple plays every game that make you puke......because they usually surround those plays with 30 completions, 300 yards, 40 points and wins. And thats pretty much what he's been doing so far.

Its the same Sanchez we saw here, the one that won four road playoff games, before Tebow came and Clyde Gates became his number one receiver. lol

if Sanchez loses them the game on Thanksgiving, he's likely done as a starter from that point on in his career.

:face:

There is no metric under which Sanchez is "playing great."

He's playing great for Mark Sanchez, because he was written out of the league a year ago, so hes probably h3ading for comeback poy. He's playing great for a backup QB, 3-1 and keeping his team in the playoff hunt.

He has 1200 yards in 4 games, completing 63%......idk. id say the only metric under which he ISNT playing great is on a Jets forum. lol

The Sour grapes metric.

Meh...There were times in that Green Bay game where he was reverting to the Sanchez of old.

He looks to me like he did in 2010. Up and Down.

Lol the sour grapes are ripe! 63%....nothing like 2010 (a year in which his "up" was outplaying brady in a foxboro playoff game btw lol)

Ok, this year his ups are returning from the grave and coming off the Eagles bench to not only keep them right in the hunt, but make a case for letting Foles take the rest of the season off....regardless. 3-1 , averaging 35 points a game, 300 yards per game, 63% comp, 7tds.......and his downs? 6 interceptions.....3 of them meaningless, occuring with the game decided.

The only metric under which he is playing great is The Self Flagellation Metric. He's also doing well on the I Told You It Was The Wepinzz and The Coachings scale.

It's simple. He plays bad defenses he's doing great. He plays a semi competent defense, he looks like the same dog sh*t we had here.

They were SUPPOSED to beat the Texans, the Panthers and the Titans.

Keep telling yourself that. lol

No, he's not.

He's likely only to get one or two more starts. The second Foles is cleared to play, Sanchez sits. 4-5 starts ain't gonna be enough to win Comeback Player of the Year.

At least two turnovers a game is horrible for anyone.

Hes gonna make it very hard for Foles. I wouldnt be so sure, he doesnt takes his job.......simply because he's BETTER than him. Sanchez sits at 5-1, lets say, and FOlesy comes in and tanks a game and a half.......uh oh. lol

And if a lackluster Foles has them limping into the playoffs, they may very well want the guy with the proven postseason track record. Foles can very easily become Sanchez' b-----. This isnt Tom Brady coming back.

Either way, he will be starting somewhere next year (if not Philly).

Btw, hes averaging 1.5 ints a game......thru 4.

You act as if that is something other than absolutely awful.

That would be on pace for 24 INTs over a 16 game season, a number not even Geno Smith hit last year. Eli was the only player in the NFL that hit that number last season, so it is most certainly not something to celebrate. The only player on a worse pace this year would be Blake Bortles. That's not to mention the 1.25 fumbles Sanchez is averaging per game, which would be good for 20 over a full season. Of course that's all being a little generous, as he hasn't even played 4 full games yet.

Yeah, but see its after 4 games. lol so, its really meaningless. The fact is it is 6 ints and 3 of them were in garbage time. Hes 3-1, gobbling up yards, 63%........and sh*tting on the fools we have under center. Like I said, the jets forum is the only place on earth where he isn't playing well. I know its painful, but he WILL be starting next year, and then we have a long time to revisit yhis conversation.

Show me a list of qbs who have ever gone 30 for 43.......and suck. lol

You realize this post doesn't make any sense, right? I mean literally none at all. Your entire argument completely contradicts itself.

On one hand you're touting Sanchez for "only" throwing 1.5 INTs per game while making a point of ignoring his additional 1.25 fumbles per game, and trying to celebrate that supposed accomplishment. Then when it is shown to you that those numbers are actually horrible, you carry on about how 4 games means nothing. Yet in the next breath you're rambling on about how much 4 games supposedly means about the greatness of Sanchez as you only look at the specific numbers from Sanchez which make him look good, while outright ignoring those which make him look bad. As if that wasn't laughably bad enough, your final argument is using a completion percentage from one game as some sort of evidence that Sanchez is any good. A single game completion percentage of just under 70% while good, is hardly world beater type stuff. Geno friggin' Smith has topped that on multiple occasions and he most certainly sucks something fierce (and that's being kind).

Bottom line, you've actually managed to prove yourself wrong. Well done.

Ok, first of all, my saying he is svgering 1.5 ints a game was ONLY correcting the charge that he had 2 a game, nothing more. The REAL point here is that, regardless, its ONLY 4 games, so whethrr it is 1.5 or 2.0 or 1.25 fumbles is meaningless anyway.

Btw did you catch the Eagles game today? Lmao

You went to rutgers? And they taught you that 6÷4 is 3.75? lol

Oh my bad, I thought we lived in a world where turnovers on fumbles also counted as giveaways. I didn't know we changed that.

Oh, because my post said 1.5 iNTS, short for interceptions, but it's cool. Misunderstanding, no big deal.

Come on guys, I know it's painful. Spending an entire draft to move up and grab a stud, franchise QB......finally, a guy who smacks Tom Brady out of the playoffs while he's still hitting frat parties (and I'm comfortable enough to say he better looking, too lol), only to sabotage him, embarrass him, run him out of town, and replace him with trash is a f low blow, EVEN for the Jets! They kicked us in the balls. It's only natural that we're boiling hot, talking about f--- a PSL.... But let's not turn on our brother. We really need to be there for each other right now! :)

It's a line from The Big Lebowski LM

Sanchez 6INTs 6 Fumbles and 2 of them lost same as it ever was same as it ever was same as it ever was

Oh my bad. One of those classics that I never really caught all the way through. lol

Are you still not convinced, SFJ? smh

the entire team got beat that day and for as bad as it was Sanchez did not do all that bad considering the circumstances. true he should still learn when to throw the ball away but even if he did in that game every hater on this site would have still claimed he played like sh*t so there would have been no difference.

While not to compare the 2, how many big games did Mr Peyton manning choke in ? Did you make fun of him when Seattle beat his team into submission in the SB ? Nah I guess all is well when your a regular season hall of famer with 200 + one yard TD passes. I hate to bring this stuff up but Manning was handled right from the beginning with the talent around him the coaching and every thing else you can possibly think of simple fact is Manning is not very clutch in the Playoffs and the only time he won a SB his team and his defense got hot. Now is that fair to Manning ? NO way its not fair but neither is what happened to Sanchez for the first 5 years of his career. Difference is Sanchez did very well in the playoffs and exhibited the ability to be a clutch QB it was one of his only good traits that came out while he was here with this inept offense that still plagues us today

Give Sanchez some time in a real offense with real players and I think you might very well see the turnovers begin to drop.

And he sent Manning home from the playoffs, YET again, in his rookie year. lol Its just gonna get uglier and uglier for the anti-sanchez crowd unfortunately.

Simms is the only QB smart enough to run a no huddle and our Clown Chorus of Rex and Marty won't even let him play

Is that based on test scores or what?

Btw, the big news out of the Jet camp is that the clown chorus has been overruled by the a$$hole ensemble regarding QB play.

(Still tough for a third stringer to get the nod because of a high IQ)

Mmmm think a few missed Sanchez's previous game where he sucked balls. A lot if what you see is all Chip Kelly, the guys been a Revelation.

Sanchez still sucks, Philly are even talking about canning Nick Foles, if we had a QB that throw seven TD's in one game, we'd build a freaking statue. If Kelly had a real Q.B it would be scary.

No, his previous game he was 30 of 43 for over 3 bills, in a win.

This is a "Sanchez is a good QB the Jets blew it by releasing him" week.

He is still Mark Sanchez and Foles will be back soon so forget the Super Bowl fantasies.

Sanchez>Foles and has much more clutch playoff experience. Not to mention he's in a groove, the team is hot, and Foles is cold, coming off long injury, and wasnt really playing well went he went out. I wouldnt be surprised if Foles' return as the starter is brief if he doesnt go Alex Smith, str8 to the bench. This isnt Tom Brady, we're talking about.

Either way, he'll be starting somewhere next year.....still Mark Sanchez, who won 4 playoff games for us in 2 years. (Damn, when will THAT ever happen again. Smh)

Im sorry, brother, I'm not trying to argue in house because, like I said, this is a painful situation. I'm just saying that the "Sanchez is a good qb and the Jets blew it by releasing him" week is really going to be the "Sanchez is a good qb and the Jets blew it by releasing him" years. He just turned 28.

Its best to just face it now.
