Sanchez being Sanchez, that didn't take long.

you mean the pass that was right on the hands of the receiver and he defelcted it into the defenders hands ? Watch the game or don't post about it

It was only a matter of time. Please remember just how horrible he was for four straight years, that wasn't by accident, he's not good at football.

sorry but the Jets are not good at coaching football or getting talent for their QB's to be successful

Lol okay man. Sanchez was bound for a perennial all-pro type career until he was sabotaged by the god damned jets.

yeah why don't you just put the Idiot dramatics on hold . Never said he was heading for any pro bowl just stating the obvious since every QB that seems to suit up for this horrid offense have the exact same problems.

SAR and Smashmouth still think he had the potential to be good. I think that's enough to validate the original assessment for the rest of us, we were wrong.

FIXED :P

Sanchez looks jittery as ever.

Lots of runs. 4 straight runs TD.

so last week Jets fans made excuses for Vick saying hes second string and does not get the reps in practice but if that player is Sanchez who is having a good over all game HES PLAYING BAD OMG they ran it 4 times for a TD can't tell if Im dealing with Trolls or Retards

Geno Smith wasn't ready to take the helm as starting QB for the NY Jets he was rushed into duty he should have sat behind a veteran starter who could mentor him.

Geno sucks now and will always suck  whether he sits behind someone or not.

We will see how Sanchez fairs the rest of the season .... If he does well and cuts out the stupid turnovers that plagued him here his last few years then that is on our coaching staff and GM's for not surrounding the kid with young talent to grow with from DAY 1. Most teams that develop QB's do that.... the teams that don't, fall into the Oakland Raider/NY Jet category who think a good QB is going to miraculously make every one around them better. This is why we fail this is why most of the teams plagued with sh*tty QB's fail ...they have no clue how to develop young QB's and never will/

Teams win SB's not QB's that's probably the reason Peyton does not have about 5 rings by now .

BS.

Sanchez had the best offensive line in football, the best running attack, the top 5 defense and decent enough offensive players.  Alex Smith dominates the league with that team.

And  more BS... A top notch QB does miraculously make everyone better around him.  Teams would blitz the crap out of Sanchez and he would crumple.  You never see teams blitzing good QB's because they read it, adjust and destroy you.

Sanchez had the best run blocking line in football and re tread WR's ...the one he did seem to gel with was Edwards but he was a nut and the Jets gave a 50 million dollar contract to a team cancer.

The Jets handlded Sanchez like sh*t.

I said it all along Sanchez should have been running a no huddle here and he should have been given some talent The Jets did neither. He no runs a no Huddle with the Eagles has excellent presence in the pocket and looks like a totally different QB because he has coaching and is surrounded by talent.

If you put Peyton manning on that horrid offense the Jets had when Sanchez went totally south in year 4 his career would have ended.

When Sanchez is playing from behind and is under pressure, that's when we'll know if he's turned the corner or not. Masochists, all of you.

Ahh you mean like the 5 come from behind victories he had with the Jets in his second year Here ? Or was it his 3rd cant remember.

always need more evidence. you'll never admit rex screwed the pooch with sanchez. if he does poorly you will say "see!" if he does well it's the situation/weapons/climate/latitude/phase of the moon.

been fighting this fight for years .... nothing means anything to these guys but the QB .... Because we all know theres no such thing as "team" in the game of football its all about the QB . That is until they run into top defenses in the playoffs then it all comes tumbling down ....Just ask Peyton

Newton plays QB like he's worried about being late for a party.

Newtons playing like he old Sanchez ....Why ? They took his WR's and gave him nothing in return. Big difference in Cam from last year to this year

Every time you post something about quarterbacks, irony dies a little more.

And I sit back and laugh as all my points on Sanchez and the QB position in general come true.

I need to see a dr. I cannot stop puking.

watching that game last night made me sick to my stomach as well. I hate the fact this team has been plagued by Idiots running the show for years.

Sanchez is probably jumping for joy he got the F2uck out of this dysfunctional mess because he would have been horrid here last year and this year if he didn't get hurt through no fault of his own. Look on the bright side if Sanchez didn't get hurt he would have stunk it up last year and we would have had to endure another year of Geno next year.... now at least we know we need to do something at the QB position next year.

Remember on draft day how Sanchez was ecstatic to be a Jet? He loved being on this team.

He should've been here 15 years and name retired in ring of honor.

What the Jets FO, Rex and coaching staff did to that kid was criminally negligent.

Been saying this for years and always took the verbal abuse for it. But then I should have looked at who was actually handing out the abuse when Sanchez was stinking it up here ....or should I say the Jets organization stinking it up here

They're doing this cute little thing we're they've shifted blame to Rex.  I don't think anyone other than their cult is buying it but they sure are beating their chests like it's true.  I'll give them that.

We gave them all they could handle PAC now they run and hide behind Idiot Rex :) typical

Smash, don't you think we should slow down just a little? One good game against a secondary that is just as bad as ours doesn't make for Itoldyouso yet. This thing may boomerang back on you.

very true but I did say that in one of my posts ... The thing is I've never seen Sanchez play this well over a 2 game span. He just looks like a different QB. We wont know for sure how this pans out until next year IMO because if he does continue to play well the key to becoming a good QB is consistency and keeping the mistakes to a minimum. Time will tell

I suppose it's not dumb to declare vindication after one game when spotted 5 turnovers?

never declared vindication and if you read my posts which I know you did you would know that. Sanchez just threw a pick six I guess that's the end of his career throw him to the curb :) .

The Eagles got their asses handed to them today, it happens

What's going to be great in this thread is when Green Bay goes into prevent, then Sanchez puts up 150 yards and 2 TDs and the wingnuts cry vindication.

Same thing I told EY no one is crying vindication that's going to take time if it ever comes. Hes playing better in the short time hes been in and that's about it

What about when you said this?

If you bothered to read my points on Sanchez it was more about players around him that was the issue when he was with the Jets. He was playing well in the beginning of the Green Bay game the entire team just got steamrolled I said these types of games happen but as soon as Sanchez threw a pick Six looked more to me like you guys were screaming vindication. Lets see what happens the rest of the season and next year like I stated last week on there very forums. Also if your going to pull up sh*t from last week pull it all up. or maybe I go do that

This was my feelings on Sanchez I wrote that other stuff in response to haters who came in here and made no sense or didn't show up at all. But as soon as a pick 6 is thrown in a game that was already a blowout out they come from the cracks.

Please, you were yanking your chain the second he threw his first touch down and making sure to let everyone know how much you knew about football and evaluating QB talent. There are no haters, just people who knew he sucked and knows that he still sucks.

Sorry but that's bullsh*t ... I made it very clear that this would take time. You were still trying to claim he didn't play well in his first 2 games which is the only ridiculous part of the argument. How do you yank your own chain and wtf does that even mean ?

Eagles were totally outplayed- Mark made some nice throws but mixed in being off target and making bonehead plays.

being off target can be expected for a new starter boneheaded plays are something that has plagued him for a while. I don't think he ever saw Peppers but crap like that has happened before and he must be more aware of LB's waiting on those type throws.

Sanchez is completing passes at  60% and has 6 TD's and 880 yards that's not to shabby I don't think he ever had a 3 game stretch like that in a Jets uniform.

Yesterday the Eagles got their asses kicked almost seemed like they just got blindsided and made some questionable defensive calls early on single covering Jordy Nelson that's never going to work with Aaron Rodgers

Can I say it? I must say it. Jordan Matthews against Green Bay last night, 5 receptions, 107 yards, 1 TD. I  just hate my sports life right now.

Also, Alshon Jeffery might as well be called the #1 WR in Chicago right now, and CB Phillip Gaines is looking great in KC

makes you want to puke .... This years WR's group is going to go down as the best in history and the NY ******* Jets decided it was best to start drafting them In the 4th god damn round

A Flacco is all you need to win at least 1 ring.

you know what you need to win a ring ? A good all around Football team in all three phases. Some very solid role players mixed in as well. Usually the role players are the first to go when players start demanding more money and that's why its so hard to keep a dynasty alive unless you have a really good personnel guy at GM ....

The difference is--I guess--that he looks better in every other part of the game. He's confident, he's driving the ball downfield, his yards per attempt is way up, etc, but he still makes those 2-3 plays in a game that make you puke.

this is pretty much on the money. He threw a pass yesterday he had no business throwing with a 2 TD lead. If its not there Sanchez needs to learn to throw it away . It seems his problem is when he's not in  position to throw he tries to throw it in there anyway which hurts him . When he sets and throws he does extremely well from what I've seen so far. Kid needs to use his head and he can be a very good QB. Throw the damn ball away

Mmmm think a few missed Sanchez's previous game where he sucked balls. A lot if what you see is all Chip Kelly, the guys been a Revelation.

Sanchez still sucks, Philly are even talking about canning Nick Foles, if we had a QB that throw seven TD's in one game, we'd build a freaking statue. If Kelly had a real Q.B it would be scary.

the entire team got beat that day and for as bad as it was Sanchez did not do all that bad considering the circumstances. true he should still learn when to throw the ball away but even if he did in that game every hater on this site would have still claimed he played like sh*t so there would have been no difference.

While not to compare the 2, how many big games did Mr Peyton manning choke in ? Did you make fun of him when Seattle beat his team into submission in the SB ? Nah I guess all is well when your a regular season hall of famer with 200 + one yard TD passes. I hate to bring this stuff up but Manning was handled right from the beginning with the talent around him the coaching and every thing else you can possibly think of simple fact is Manning is not very clutch in the Playoffs and the only time he won a SB his team and his defense got hot. Now is that fair to Manning ? NO way its not fair but neither is what happened to Sanchez for the first 5 years of his career. Difference is Sanchez did very well in the playoffs and exhibited the ability to be a clutch QB it was one of his only good traits that came out while he was here with this inept offense that still plagues us today

Give Sanchez some time in a real offense with real players and I think you might very well see the turnovers begin to drop.

I'm still try to figure out what exactly about this performance should have even slightly changed anyone's previous opinions in either direction.

What did this tell us?  Mark Sanchez appears to be an inconsistent performer who has some very good games, and other very bad games... welcome to 2009 everyone.

On a side note, it's kind of amusing to see how much this thread is a near carbon copy of the Pennington/Dolphins debate circa 2008.

It's actually even a fairly a pretty similar layout of who falls on each side as well, outside of just a few folks who have essentially switched sides and are now ultimately relying on the same arguments they trashed in those days.

you just can't help yourself can you.

Pennington was a damn good QB left to rot while year after year the Jets made piss poor trades to support him and never gave him the big target he needed to succeed. Then He goes to the Phins performs well but really only has 2 RB's and no one else who could really catch the football but leads his team to the playoffs and gets beat by one of the best defenses in history that totally manhandled that entire offense yet it was Penningtons fault/ Do me a favor and stop making stupid posts and dragging Pennington into every freaking QB argument you can its really getting old.

This year in the NFL is proving that if you get a QB talent to work with they can perform and if you take it away they struggle . Sure some QB's just plain suck but you can turn a good QB great and a decent QB good just by upping the talent level around him.    Just looke at Drew Brees they took all his pass receiving backs Like Sproles and let them go then Pierre Thomas got hurt and Drew is nothing compared to what he was when he had 150- 190 completions to his backs on a yearly basis. He's clearly not the same guy No 5 k this year or 40 TD's

You can make the same argument for Cam Newton who is a decent to Good QB that has the potential to be great but They took his favorite target and let him go. Would have been nice to see smith and Benjamin  and Im sure Cam would not have complained. Joe Flacco is another guy who is up and down with the talent around him this year he gets Smith and his numbers go back to being very good. You know the same Joe Flacco whom jets fans say sucks as if jets fans should even be in QB discussions about any QB.

This up coming week Sanchez plays the Seahawks you know its going to be tough I mean we all saw what they did to Manning and just about every other QB they play but You will be all over it if Sanchez faulters.

This is a team game ..... Teams win SB's not QB's ....If it were all about QB's Manning and Brady would Win the SB every year but they don't and they haven't for quite some time. Defense and ball control wins SB's ..... QB's win regular season games
