Smizzy
Texans | Kubiak interviewed Fri, 6 Jan 2006 16:08:31 -0800 Chris Duncan, of the Associated Press, reports Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak interviewed with the Houston Texans Friday, Jan. 6, at a Denver hotel. Kubiak doesn't think his close relationship with Dan Reeves gives him an edge to become the next coach of the Texans. Reeves, who coached Kubiak for nine seasons with the Broncos, is now a consultant for the Texans and met with Kubiak along with owner Bob McNair, general manager Charley Casserly and McNair's son, Cal. "They know what they're looking for," Kubiak said. "Regardless if Dan was here today or not, I had a job to do to convince them that I'm the right guy. Dan being in there, how big of an influence that will be, I don't know."
