Ape I tried to get a scum killed with my tactics on you early didn't expect it would take as long as it did.

 

I had some other ideas up my sleeve with the Mirror but I got hammered so I didn't get a chance/ I was going to lie and claim I was able to self mirror which really would have had scums heads spinning while I actually mirrored others I felt scum would go after. Either way it worked out nicely

The grc component just made eceryone seem scummy to me. The mad dash for GRC just got in my head. Fun but I wasn't prepared. And then I had a baby and my participation wasn't the same. Still a great time.

Thanks, and I managed to keep good balance with work. The reality was, I could post for volume and be analytical at the same time, so in most cases I posted for volume and played with my gut... and reactionary logic. Then, when I had windows to look back and analyze stuff I tried to... those moments were few and far between.

 

It probably worked out best that I was on-site with clients this week, and not on the hook for deadlines, then I would have fallen behind.

Yep.  It was painful to watch, because the only 3 players you seemed sure weren't scum ... were JVoR, Crusher, and Verb

I'm happy to keep playing, as long as the premise has nothing to do with GRC. Also, I won't commit until I see the final player roster, I really have no use for guys like Despot or Sili turning our games into an exorcism of their high school demons.

I dont like non-traditional set ups and this one was particularly annoying (no offense Doggin).  I like complicated ones but when the mechanics completely change, they're just not fun for me.  The way the game started with the GRC's and even more then the norm excessive spam posting, I checked out after the first 10 pages. 

 

And some of the newer personalities were bothering me.

Crazy roles dont bother me, I can do cult games too, and different flavors under the proper mechanics.  Its the non-traditional, no night phases, GRC, multiple teams, etc. that I dont like.  I lose interest.  I've dabbled in it as a mod and even got annoyed at myself.

Those are the worst.  I wont even join teams.  Just like I never even looked at my QT this game.

 

There was the one game, I was joined to a team and they were scum and its just stupid, IMO.  Its natural to start to trust the person you've joined a QT with and even if you're not, the ability to play both sides of the fence just is stupid and not fair to the townie in the QT.

I liked the set up because it made you think and got people engaged early and had meaning early of course Crusher used that focus on me which told me outright he was scum but players came after me rather than him .... Much better than the, your gay no your gay more crap, we usually have to deal with and pictures of retards . Notice you didn't see much of that worthless crap in this game ? Ok ok Despot was a retard but we're used to that

 

 Lots of ways this game could have played out and lots of ways the game mechanics could have been manipulated in your favor or your teams favor. Its a nice change from the vanilla and that's why I love Doggin and DPR games they strip the boredom and stupidity from the game

I think we all have this idea of how a free for all game where anyone can manipulate anyone and form any team they want would go...but in reality it never happens.

The closest thing I've ever seen to it was SMC's Boardwalk Empire game and we all remember how that went. Don't get me wrong it was a good game and a lot of fun but I know it wasn't what SMC was wanting out of it and that's still the best example I can name for the free for all style.

 

We're just not the evil masterminds we all wish we were lol.
