munchmemory
Only if the players dump Gatorade on him, carry him off the field as if they'd won the Super Bowl, and proclaim triumphantly to the media and all who will listen that, by golly, they're "still playing for their beloved coach". Jetsfan80
Better question: If that's what it took to keep him around, PR37, will you be rooting against the Pats in the midst of their quest for homefield?

Vinny16
If the franchise were run by a competent owner, then I'd say absolutely not. But, it's run by Woody Johnson, so Rex and Idzik will probably have 5-year extensions waiting on their desks if they beat New England. That said, there's zero chance they even come within 2 scores of beating New England.
Pac
Rex is gone.. Idzik is likely gone.. Pats aren't winning the SB. You're welcome.
Warfish
1. If Rex and the Jets defeat BOTH New England AND Miami, with the players strongly behind Rex, yes, I could see a circumstance where Woody retains Rex. We all know he (Woody) WANTS to retain Rex. 2. We are not going to defeat New England, and it's very unlikely we defeat Miami, so the hypothetical above is pretty pointless navel gazing. Rex will be fired. Latinlawyer
True fans only please. F**K NO. Rex is gone. He would have to destroy NE 76-0, injure Brady for life and then during the end of game handshake he would have to bite Belichick's hand and punch the guy out...then MAYBE he gets to stay. Othewise, HELL NO.
