My Head Coach Wish List

Smizzy

Recommended Posts

Jim Fassel

Donnie Henderson

Ill pass on Jim fassel. God only permits 1 Sb per HC in NY,Fassel blew his shot.

Maybe if Donnie's defense were a little or better or if he was outcoaching anybody then maybe Id feel more comfortable turning the job over to him.Im not.

Greg Williams

He is available.. his contract allows him to become a HC elsewhere pay him $5m a year

I know I know Woody is a scinflint

What would you want with Greg Williams? Do you not recall his tenure with the Bills. That should be enough to scare anyone off and it's probably a real good reason why he was so quick to reup as the DC in Washington.

alk- you remember a coach in Cle that had troubles

than made it big the 2nd time around?

i forget his name.....

He at least was able to get that team to the playoffs and it looked like he had them turned around until the owner abruptly sold the team. Williams on the other hand struggled the entire time he was there.

LOL you get stupider with every post. Greg Williams is one of the best defensive minds in football right now. he's made a team with mediocore talent in washington one of the best defences in the NFL. there is a reason he's the highest paid assastant coach in the sport. there were 5+ teams lining up to hire him and they had to garuntee him that he would replace joe gibbs to get him to stay.

Like I said, he had the team in the playoffs in the third season, then the owner sold the team and everything fell apart. Williams was just plain horrible the entire time he was there. Don't get me wrong though, I would welcome him back to the East with open arms. It would be just like Herm had never left.

I'm stupid because I think Gregg Williams is a joke of a HC? Stupid is thinking that a good coordinator makes for a good HC every time. Mike Martz ring a bell? Yeah, I'm sure you would want him too.

Greg Williams is intriguing in that his career has taken a similar path as BB's did. I also beleive that like BB, Williams has learned a lot this time around as an assistant under a HOFer like Gibbs. Just like I think BB did with Parcells the second time around. Though this is no guarentee since Williams was much worse than BB his first time around.

ahh you got me! stupider is a word...but wait...its still improper :D and had you paid attention during english class, you would know the intelligent thing to type in that case, would be dumber. So while Im "stupider" for calling a word a non-word...i guess the fact that you dont know how to use words correctly makes you...stupider...est?

just pointing out that by using words like stupider...you look a lot DUMBER than someone who doesnt trust a HC who has failed in the past. Keep in mind, the DC for Pitts.(leabeu?...i dont know how to spell his last name)was HORRIBLE as a HC(in cincy), but was and is great as a DC. Alk has a very good point, being a great DC doesnt always convert into a great HC, some guys just cant handle it all.

if a guy knows how to run a defence he'll be fine as long as he has the right people around him to run his offense. williams has proved he can get the most out of his players on the defensive side of the ball in turning wishington into one of the best defences in football. that alone is enough to get him another job.

again...see the example of the guy with the Steelers. Im not saying its always right, but the fact of the matter is, not all coordinators can be successful head coaches, and until Williams proves himself worthy, Alk is right.

you think dan snyder gives snyder 5 million dollar contracts as christmas presants? there were many teams lining up to try to hire greg williams. they must have seem somthing they like... the guy is a great devensive mind and if you give him even a little offense (by the way he had ONE good player on offence with the bills) he'll be not a good, but a great head coach.
