dickkotite
My first impression of this thing sucked. You have to have the ant looking up to the clear sky like directtv? Thats lame ass After driving around pissed off at the constant dropouts in signal, I was pleased to read that the ant was magnetic and should be on the roof. I had it upside down taped to the windshield. Well, its a lot better now. For some reason, i can get the signal in my garage with the door closed. whats up with that? At first i hated the music stuff. "Buzzsaw" was playing judas priest and i liked it, then they played steppenwolf? WHAT THE F IS UP WITH THAT?????? then, they redeemed themselves by playing the trooper and slayer reign in blood. With all these stations - why the hell is there no bossa nova or non-gay jazz (like bitches brew)? Why is there only 1 reggae station, and its under the "rock" section? So if i go in a tunnel, its lost? Why is that jam station in existence if i have yet to hear one good jam band. Oh, i get it its the sh*t jam station. what the hell man, the signal is pretty good but no better than an average fm station. This company can do better.I have to pay for this too? They need to hire a few tasty freaks to run a couple of GOOD stations to appeal to tasty critical musical elitist like myslef. Right now, suits and ties are doing the programming and its marginal at best I can see this is going to be a very difficult love-hate relationship for me. Maxman
DK.... I got it right before Christmas. It is awesome. Going to check out Howard shortly! I did the same thing with the antenna. Until I put it on the roof it was all screwed up. Although if it gets to be about 20 degrees it seems to take a few minutes to be able to get a signal. Other than that it is just incredible. Backspin plays some old school rap that you just would never hear anywhere else.
4HCrew
I had the same challenges as well as just got it professionaly installed for like $70. I think it kicks a$$ and love the diverse music options. Howard has been great all morning.

The Gun Of Bavaria
I love my Sirius and will never go without it. I use it at work so I easily listen to it close to 40 hrs a week and haven't grown bored with it. Area 33 and The Beat 36 are great stations if you like Trance/Techno. Backspin is easily my favorite channel. Yesterrday they were out of control, playing Big Daddy Kane, Eric B & Rakim and a host of others. The 80s and 1st Wave channel are great as well. Maxman
Run DMC - You Be Illin Beastie Boy - Paul Revere LL COOL J - I Need Love 3rd Bass - Pop Goes The Weasel That was the 4 song set Backspin played one of the first days I was listening to it. dickkotite
I'll be getting it sometime in the near future. Did the "revelations" on Stern live up to the hype? Stern was great today. No big hype, just another great show as if nothing happened. little cursing, thank god as well. Mr sulu is on all week, and the fag is really quite funny and adds something to the show-keep him! Revelations: Yes they were good. better than what i expected- somebody once had a guy blow a load on his chest someboy got caught cheating and their wife (howard? Fred?) somebody used to, as a child, hide in the bathroon closet and masturbate while watching thier relatives crap (I have no clue) Somebody used to masturbate with meat and fruits(definately robin, this was the only one where she remained DEAD SILENT on. Im surprised nobody else picked up on that a real good show

A pretty diverse list. Can't say I've heard of all of the artists you list and I'm the king of obscure music. A couple of notes. Agree on the Yes comment. To me, almost everything pre Trevor Rabin is good stuff. Genesis. An absolutely monster band. Until Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett left. Then they became too pop for me. Miles - Bitches Brew. I have this and cannot, cannot, cannot get into it. Some of my fav Fusion and Prog musicians cite it as a major influence and I've tried and tried, but Miles is just too out there for me. But Hyperprism by Edgard Varese.... now you're talking. d

Other than those, it is NFL, ESPN, and RAWDOG. The Jim Breuer Show kicks ass. Sirius makes me happy. I go to bed, switch on my radio and watch sports with the mute on. Bliss. dickkotite
im really staring to like my thingy. i have had no reception problems and ive been getting into raw dog. jim brewer is funny, he had some angry black comedian on today and finally jim let him have it saying that he sounded like a whining retard. also, between the two metal stations you dont have to wait long until something real good comes on. oh yes, and sinced i moved to fl, ive notice how CRAPPY fl radio is. Now, i can listen to cnn, fox, political talk radio and espn
