"Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate and he thought the offseason was the right time to take this step," Beckworth said. Villain The Foe
Amazing how many Jets Fans wanted this guy hardcore. /chuckle. It was ridiculous the man crush Jet fans had for this guy. It couldn't believe that it had anything to do with football. He simply had the "coolest guy" image. That ESPN analyst that said that he wouldnt have taken Manziel in the first 3 rounds should have stood his ground, because taking him #22 in the draft was a total mistake by the fans, especially with Bridgewater still on the board. How the hell you even make a decision like that I have not a clue.

peekskill68
How could the Cleveland scouts have been this clueless to not see this beforehand? It wasn't like he was trying to keep his issues private. Did they really think this was a phase he was going to grow out of? with their owner, it could have been an owner driven pick (for a franchise in need of attention). There was a rumor before the draft that Pettine liked Bridgewater. But then again all kinds of rumors fly on draft day.

Jet9
Can't stand him as a player. He's probably not a bad person though. Too much vitriol IMO. HE JUST TURNED 22 YEARS OLD. Most of you guys on here were probably something like that at that age. And if you say no, then you're either lying or very boring.
