Seriously have to question Girardi bringing in untested rookies in a big spot. Justin Wilson threw less than 10 pitches last night. He couldn't get that lefty out? Now that we lost this game, the division is all but lost. Lets wrap up the wild card and then seriously consider giving Betances and Miller a 3-4 days off. They both look warn out. If we have any chance of making a deep run, those two need to be at the top of their game.

Betances looks really tired.

It won't matter if the offense can only score 2 runs a game.

I know the Sox had another down year, are out of contention, and below .500 but seeing them beat the Yanks in September in meaningful to the Yankees games is still satisfying. And all the young guys are helping do it. The future is very bright in Beantown.

How are these games meaningful to the Yankees exactly?

The Yankees have already clinched a playoff spot?

They haven't clinched. But they won it already. Because despite anything you are happy about in this series, the Yankees are going to be in the wildcard game.

But I am happy that you are happy about these Boston victories. :)

This team has no fight, life or heart left. It's a shame really. A team in their position should be playing with all 3 of those things. Really frustrating to watch.

you get 12 hits and 11 walks and score 5 runs.

Since the AS break, Gardner has hit 208, Ellsbury 227, and ARod 212.   You can't win with that.

it's an old team this is what happens hopefully they can get a couple days off before the wildcard game

5 innings, 1 run. Really appreciate that start from CC. Yanks turn the ball over to Warren, who was supposed to start tomorrow's game.

CC has mostly been effective this season as long as he's kept at 5 innings that's what happens with older pitchers
