Sperm Edwards
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12432188/chicago-bears-trade-brandon-marshall-new-york-jets The Chicago Bears have agreed to trade wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. The trade, which cannot become official until free agency opens Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, will also rely on Marshall passing a physical.

Shockwave
Wayyy Better move then Keeping Percy at that ridiculous Price or drafting Cooper in the top 6. Drafting WR high is just not a good investment unless its AJ or Julio type guys for which Cooper is not. Harvin is a jack of all trades who rarely produced ( One thousand yard season). Marshall has been a legit top 5 WR for awhile and plays nice for a few seasons before he goes nuts which is all we need from him.

Screw it keep Harvin sign Spiller, and Iupati and go for it on Offense for 1 year.

Drafting WR high is just not a good investment unless its AJ or Julio type guys for which Cooper is not. For every OBJ theres hundreds of bust. Depending on what we gave up, I don't think this eliminates the possibility of Maccagnan drafting a WR at #6 (though it certainly makes it more likely he won't). If we gave up a 4th-5th, we still draft who we want at any position, WR included. If it's a 2nd (really hope not) then yes, I'd tend to agree with you he almost definitely won't. Jetlife33
Obviously have to see what the pick is but all indications pointing to a late round pick. I can't knock this. Marshall, Decker and Kerley. Just can't complain at all.

What's wrong here.... You guys want perfection. Perfection isn't available. When you can bring in a legit #1 receiver talent, at a fair price, for a late round draft pick...It's a good move. chirorob
Trade Kerly restructure Harvin. You just resigned Kerly, so you can't because of cap hit. Harvin will NOT restructure. But otherwise we are in total agreement.
T0mShane
Do not like, but only $4 mil guaranteed (I believe) remaining on a fat contract, but the dude is a serial DV case and shows next to zero remorse for it despite wearing cool sneakers for Mental Health Day. I thought it was $0 guaranteed now, but his 2015 salary ($7.5M) is guaranteed in like a week. Hardly matters, since no team makes a trade like this and then threatens to cut him if he won't take a pay cut.

Marshall not a long term solution at all.

Seems like Marshall has turned the corner these past few years. His skill talent at WR is something the Jets haven't had in forever. Let's just hope Bowles keeps everyone's head on straight. SouthernJet
marshall>harvin so more a trade where Bears save cash.. 6th rounder with all our cap room is a good deal to take pressure off other WRs as Marshall has to be respected. Look at Bears Jeffrey's #s w/Bears in games w/marshall in lineup and in games w/Marshall out..
