Prediction; the Hound and Mountain kill each other in a combat duel to the death.

Yeah, that's the only way it could end. But it's gonna take some shot from The Hound to bring down his brother.

Sure but Arya wasnt trained by Oberyn...she learned how to us the staff when she was blind with the Faceless men.  I see your point, it's more a stylistic thing but the Hound will kill his brother.

Yeah, it's that similar "strike quickly, and don't get hit" style of combat that they both use/used. Especially since one hit from The Mountain will KO most characters.

I guess I could see a situation where maybe Arya gets cornered or something by the Mountain and he comes to the rescue but I really dont see how you end that confict any other way.

But remember, The Mountain is on Arya's list, and she's been going through it like Crusher goes through a grocery list. The Arya's we've seen these past 2 seasons does not walk away from The Mountain while he still breathes.

Also, I think there might be more in store for the Hound.  I know a few people have seen through the fire but I feel like there might be something more to that than just a quick vision.

I totally forgot about that. I always thought he just saw the Night King's army, or the Night King himself. Who knows, though.

One of Bran's vision from a few years ago, was a vision of the shadow of a Dragon flying over Kings Landing and if I'm not mistaken, it then immediately cut to, "burn them all"....I still got money Dany goes mad and there is something to that vision.

Her burning the entire city of King's Landing would be a great way to come full circle from Jaimie stopping her father from doing the same.

Maybe it's Tyrion, now, who will have to stop her? Would be poetic from him to have to follow in his brother's footsteps and kill the woman who gave him refuge just to stop her from blazing the very city from where he was fleeing from. She already feels like he has betrayed her.

I dont think I realized or remember the Mountain was on her list...why was he, what he do?  He wasnt part of the throne at that point, I dont recall.  Just a gnarly dude who came into town for the fair.  I remember when she said the Hound, that one night before they fell asleep...dont think I remember the brother.

Something to do with the torture of peasants that occurred at Harrenhal while Arya was held captive there by the Lannisters.

Unless I'm miss-remembering. I just always thought she was on her list.

I just googled it and found a list of all the people on her list and found this:

The Mountain
Why:
For the torture at Harrenhal

Yeah, but the point I was making is that it seems like earlier in the season he wouldn't have survived. Seems lately that they are making executive decisions to keep popular characters alive longer than they have done so in the past.

I'm not debating the reality of it, just that it seems very un-GoT-like, relative to past seasons. If these were the first two seasons, I wouldn't question it.

You’re gonna feel like a big idiot next week if they only kept him alive to get butt raped to death by one of the dragons.

Which, by the way, would be awesome if only because we’d get to hear Irish complain about how the dragons didn’t rape anyone in the books.

Help me out here: did Arya kill the NK with that Littlefinger dagger or with that staff thing Gendry made her?

It was the Littlefinger dagger.

Wait wait wait- what dagger then did Arya give to Sansa?

Was that a different valerian steel dagger?

Now I confused.

Valar maghoulis was said by red witch to grey worm at one point. Havent heard that phrase in a while. I wonder if foreshadowing or not...

And I noted that in episode 2 they reminded us that Gendry is Robert Baratheon's bastard. Gotta wonder if that could factor in somehow.

For the life of me, I can't remember who knows that besides Davos and now Arya.

My prediction: Jon, Dany, the last Targaryens, Cersei and Lannister line all die, Arya marries Gendry and he surfaces as the heir to Baratheon, thanks to Davos, and claims the Iron Throne. Or something like that.

I'd be good with that.

And, King Gendry allows The North to split into its own kingdom and is ruled by Queen Sansa.

Close..but Tyrion survives and becomes King of the Seven Realms, re-marries Sansa and unites the north with the south.

Book it!

that was awesome. only complaint was it was very dark and hard to see but maybe it was intentional?  If so i could not even fathom spending millions of dollars on an episode where you could barley make out what was going on.  i stood up tho and yelled when araya killed the night king. was not expecting that at all.  hopefully danny dies in the next few episodes.  had enough of her.  also cersi is the smartest person on this whole show. she was prolly just getting drunk on wine during this battle

Btw the music, the way they muted the battle noise in the final 20 minutes, the piano, violin, the orchestra?

Off the charts awesome the second time you watch it.

You don’t perceive it while the episode is live but when you watch it again it’s incredible.

Just watched that sequence again. Gave me goosebumps. Better than porn.

Dude, nice find. I knew there was a lot of foreshadowing, but this includes details I’d forgotten about. Even more appreciation for how it culminated now.

Watching again.

I thought Arya was wearing a mask of 1000 faces and hiding among the dead.

She was in the tree.

I read a few posts elsewhere at our Arya killing a Walker and taking his ID. Doesn’t fly with me. If she killed the Walker, it means she used dragon glass or valyrian steel - both of which would shatter the Walker into non-existence; not simply just death. So there would be no way for Arya to assume that identity.

Yea it was amazing. Wife and I were thrown off by the 96 frames/second and the muting of the battle sounds. GoT never does that kind of stuff, and generally when it’s used elsewhere it doesn’t work or comes off as cheesy, but they did a good job with it by incorporating some fantastic music.

He caught and tortured her and her friends.  Tywin actually pulled her out of there
