Was a 5th, 7th and a JAG worth moving down for?

Must be confident the guy the would have picked will still be there at 80-something.

It'd be great IMO if we could wait till the 4th/5th and still get QB Mannion.

Oh.  More Defense.

Zzzzzzz.

Oh well, Mannion in the 4th/5th still possible I suppose.

Wow...just wow.

They must not think much of Petty or the other QB's

Or conversely, they think the QB they want will still be available at the top of the 4th perhaps.

The OLB sounds like a Rex Ryan pick tbh.  The kind of story and "motor" Rex would wax poetic about and ramble on about after drafting him 3 rounds too early.

That alone doesn;t mean much, but trade down and pick seem reachy to me.  BAP at 70 would have been perhaps better, and Madulin available later.  Guess the 5th is nice to have back I suppose, but looking at aquisitions vs. losses, we're already WAY in the green.

Alot fo players we've signed or had under contract will need to be cut to make our final roster.  Like, ALOT.

Seriously. I hate most of our fan base.

Why do folks get so angry over simple differences in opinion?

Apparently we lost the superbowl by trading back 12 spots and not drafting the guy rated higher by mel ******* kiper.

I trust the scout running our draft more than the talking heads.

Just a wee bit of hyperbole that, eh?

Folks are allowed to be disappointing you know.  Trade down, get a guy who has a good story but smells like a reach (or not), if there were guys they really liked lost because of the trade down.  Or becuase yet more D added to a Top 10 D while we have a bottom 5 O, /shrug.

It's all just opinion.  We walk out of this draft without a QB I'll be disappointed.  Doesn't make me right or wrong per se, just opinionated.

Getting mad cause folks are happy/disappointed is silly.

I'm not mad, I'm just volleying back to the looney tunes that are mad and lashing out at my laid back awesomeness, homie.

You do have laid back awesomeness, I agree.

Just give me a QB prospect, please.  Please.  Some #3 we can develop (or try to).

Someone not named Fitz or Geno, please.

I'm quite disappointed Mannion got taken in the 3rd.

Oh well.

So much for having a rookie QB to put some blind and poorly thought out hope/hype behind.

Just sucky Fitz and more sucky Geno then.  Meh.

.........ended up with an awful player ................

What is your basis/source for calling him "awful"?

Just woke up, still hugely disappointed Mannion is off the board.

Odd how much this has sapped my enthusiasm for the later rounds.

Just really wanted a Pro-Style QB prospect, even if it was mostly-fantasy that he'd ever be anything.

Going into 2015 with Fitz and Geno is about as depressing an idea as there is.

QB is a massive need and talent hole.

We had no shot (thank GOD) at Winston/Mariota.

We missed Mannion who went in the Third.

Bryce widely considered BAP QB after Winston/Mariota.

Got him for a Fourth.

I'm ok with that.  No pressure to start, talent to develop into a starter, perfect.

I am now overall very happy with our draft.

#1 ranked D Player (albeit not any form of need).

#3 ranked QB prospect (albeit not the one I liked most).

#8 rated WR (give or take) prospect.

And a good story motivated pass rusher project.

Needs (QB/WR/OLB) addressed.

Got to be happy with that.

Barely going to recognize this team on the field

Thats for sure, just look at our aquisitions vs. our losses.

We're going to cut ALOT of people, and most of them may end up being the holdovers from previous regimes.

Competition is thick and heavy at literally every position now.
