Report: Kraft MAY Sue NFL

how long before mcnally and whatshisface get turned into disgruntled guys with an axe to grind who set up brady ?

I give it a week

Kraft has them gagged and locked up under guard in the basement urinals in Gillette Stadium.

1st we need to send Tom Shane and Delta Force to break them out and get them to the NY State Border!!! Can't go any other direction other than West 'cause there are Spies everywhere(Conn, RI, NH, Vt, Maine)

take them straight through the Gauntlet on the Mass Pike until you reach NY. Then bring them with a NY State Police escort straight to Goodell's office. Once there Brady and Kraft and Pats Nation lawsuits will all be dropped!!

I think I've seen this movie; while he may have the good looks of Private John winger, I surmise he's more of a Private Ziskey when in war.

"We will cooperate fully. But if the report finds no evidence of wrongdoing, we expect an apology!"

[They do not cooperate fully. The report finds evidence of wrongdoing.]

"Well then we're just gonna sue you!"

Epic hole digging

Kraft wont sue, because if he makes this a legal issue then it will be required via court order for Brady to hand over all communication (Texts or anything else) which the NFL will push for. You cant sue then deny information that could bring truth to light. I think that would be obstruction.

This is smoke.  They can appeal and all the rest, but suing will put Kraft in a position to where he has nothing to gain but everything to lose. Pay the mil, lose Brady for 4 games and a 1st/4th rounder. By week 6 they'll be back to finding another way to cheat and things will be back to normal.

When did Kraft go from his original "we'll go with the findings of Wells report and abide by the penalty" to "as long as I like the finding and agree with the penalty"

Arrogant POS

When he failed to realize for the second time that he was not just going to get this covered up.

It's a nuisance lawsuit trying to get the "punishment" to be dropped.

Kraft's only shot at prevailing in a civil court is if the discipline is not upheld in the arbitration and the arbitrator finds the NFL acted in bad faith.

Once again the game I have come to enjoy, is defending itself against the possibility that the sport has little to no integrity. Once again the same franchise has place that integrity in question. "Where there is no Law, you make your own". The NFL is an organization that has assigned certain criteria by which all members must abide . It has been proven that once again the same franchise has circumvented these rules  for their own personal gain.

The rules were broken.  The same franchise who once brought the league's integrity into question is once again the perpetrator.  Cheating to win cannot be and should not be permitted.

IMO, this miserable cheating franchise got off lucky.

Since we're talking, can someone explain to me how a skinny, undefined looking kid turned into what we see today as Tom Brady ?

Lawsuit against yourself. Brilliant. I hope this makes the NFL watch them even more close. If they were arrogant enough to cheat with the ball which is completely out there infront of everyone, I hate to know what is behind closed doors.

This is hilarious because Kraft has his head so far up his bloated rear end, he obviously is not dealing with reality.  His organization just stonewalled this investigation at every opportunity and his response is to threaten a law suit whereby the discovery process will unearth everything he just tried to prevent from getting out in the first place??  Does anyone really think that at the end of the day, once this Tub of Lard owner is briefed by his counsel, that the most lying, cheating, secretive organization in sports wants to have high powered lawyers extrapolating boatloads of information from within their KGB-like walls?  This is not even a remotely credible threat and I would hope that the NFL would not take it seriously in hearing this appeal.

Excellent point.  Also, once you are in discovery, perjury applies.  So while it's easy to blow off NFL investigators, it's a different story when rules of evidence compel testimony.

I say let Kraft* go ahead with the lawsuit and whatever other nonsense he wants to do.  Hopefully he'll do or say something stupid enough to get the other owners upset enough at him to take some kind of legal action of their own.  My feeling would be, if he doesn't want to abide by the rules of the league, maybe he should be stripped of ownership of the franchise by his good buddy Goodell.

Wouldn't you think by this time they would be in a position to cover up all of the evidence?  Now that they know what they have they can destroy or have it disappeared.  He will file a lawsuit...

My guess though is that you have 31 very angry owners that more angry than we are at his antics.  Players get suspended all the time and the teams mostly support the NFL's decisions.  Players appeal but ownership stays out of it.

I have no doubt that he'll cover up whatever evidence that there might be.  The biggest part, though, will be keeping McNally and the other guy quiet.  That'll cost a pretty dime, no doubt, since ESPN and other news outlets will probably offer a good amount for the first exclusive interview.

I just hope, in all of the rage that the organization continues to display, that he'll just say something ridiculously stupid that will allow for the other owners to take some kind of action.  Someone who acts the way that he does and encourages cheating in the way that he has should not be allowed to own an NFL, or any other professional sports, franchise.

ESPN has more or less made it clear that their role is mostly to support Brady and the Pats - but TMZ on the other hand - that's really who you want on this story.  Hoping they're doing everything in their power to get a hold of either one of those guys.

The way Kraft has handled this entire situation is disgusting.

I don't watch ESPN (or TV in general) at all anymore outside of major sporting events, so I haven't seen their coverage.  Not surprising, though.  But someone will pay for the interview.  TMZ, as you said, or one of the major news outlets or morning shows.

Yeah you know the media outlets are crawling to get an exclusive interview with the deflator himself!

I agree completely but Kraft and his behavior have done nothing but make things worse for his cheating organization since his fat rear end got off the plane at the Super Bowl.  He figured that if he came out swinging against his surrogate son (Goodell) that he could intimidate him into sweeping this under the rug.   That obviously did not happen so he comes out swinging against Ted Wells who now has taken the gloves off and fired right back at him.  Every time this moron opens his mouth he not only embarrasses himself further but also makes the situation worse.  Ever since he tampered to get Belichick to retire as HC of the NYJ I have despised this windbag but I sincerely hope he continues to run his mouth because he's only making things worse for himself and his illegitimate team.

He COULD sue, but I think it would be ill-advised to do so.

Better off to let this episode die, but then again, it's hard to predict what this prick will do.

You are so right!!!

I also this whole episode shows how venal Kraft is.

I think it was very telling that you didn't hear all this chatter and lawyering up when Gooddell destroyed the evidence in the Pats favor. Where was the outrage then ? Where was this will not stand type attitude then?

Disgraceful organization with a catch me if you can mentality. That even tricked out to the illicit activities of the players.

Their a disgrace.
