Movies that You Loved/Liked, but Everybody Else Seemed to Hate

That's lovely. But the topic at hand is movies that everyone hated. Hated being the operative word there. Not movies that people thought were OK but didn't love as much as others because Daniel Day Lewis was still really good in it.

I honestly don't really know what other people liked or didn't like because, imo, my opinion is always the most informed.

Everyone loves Road House and Big Trouble in Little China.

I was dumbfounded by that one too. Who the hell hates Road House? Next thing you know someone is going to say The Karate Kid.

Well, excuuuuuuuuuuse me.

I thought after the other jibberish posted about Gangs of New York we were defining "everyone loves" by Oscar buzz and critical acclaim.

Dumbfounded by it, really.

The two things brought up for Gangs were money and Oscars actually, but that's water under the bridge.

Some more:

The Mist

Alien 3

Predators

Dead Silence

Also, there's only been 1 Mission Impossible movie, it was called Sneakers and had Robert Redford running the team.

The 60's MI show was about a *TEAM*. Every Tom Cruise film kills off the team in the first 5min; after that it's just another Bourne movie.

Edit:  Oceans 11+ were close (and awesome), but they weren't with the government.

I LOVED the low budget Cannon

Chuck Norris/Charles Bronson films of the 80s. You know. When men still swore like pirates, used blood squibs and fired rocket launchers from the backs of motorcycles! Now in the PC world we can't eat meat or tell women to shut up.

Is the Mist the one with Adrienne Barbeau or was that the Fog?

"How to frame a Figg".   Best Don Knotts movie ever.  And nobody's heard of it.

Forget the astronaut and the Ghost/Chicken film...they get the airtime, but Figg is better.

I was going to dispute that, but it was Bob Denver in Who's Minding the Mint?  Not Don Knotts.

"When the wave breaks here, dont be there."

"Plenty of Haole surfers but we blow them away, brah."

"Here on the Island, we treat our friends mo'better."

"Burkhart breaks boards for fun"

"Turtle, you made this?  You shaped a big gun? It's beautiful man"

"You stole his stuff, you pound him"

"That wasnt a wave, that was a ripple.  I've seen bigger waves in a toilet"

"You JOJ?"...What's "JOJ?"..."Just off the Jet, kook".

"Wow, Brazilians are back and more agro than ever"

These lines are literally everyday vernacular in the surfing world.  And they're still applicable.  Brazilians are a common enemy in the water for everyone who isnt from Brazil.

Or just watch this video:
