Except Geno isn't getting cut or traded, and it's really irrelevent whether he would start for any other team because it's all hypothetical.  Instead this is clearly just you looking to start another thread proclaiming your own personal disdain for Geno Smith under the guise of some ridiculous hypothetical scenario. 

 

Given the fact Geno is our QB assuming he beats out Fitzpatrick, most of us are going to try to support the guy and hope he takes the next step.

I'm not the one saying he's better. The I hate Geno crowd is saying Jimmy is better. Based on nothing other than they hate Geno. If anyone could read instead of just wanting to rip Geno it would make sense. My point, real s l o w is that no one can say JimmyG is better because no one has ever seen him throw a single pass. My point is even if I allow my imagination to totally run wild I can't even hope that Geno becomes an above-average NFL QB.  Ironically, his upside is probably Ryan Fitzpatrick.  His downside is Geno Smith.

That is a totally stupid statement. His upside is very high, much MUCH higher than Fitzpatrick. Still unknown how he will eventually turn out but he is a very very talented QB, who despite what people think actually improved quite a bit last year despite Rex and an incompetent coaching staff

I would love Geno to flourish as a Jets fan, I just dont see it in his Football IQ (progression issues, steps back in pocket when pressured as opposed to step up etc. Plus now we ar ethrowing a new playbook at him while Fitz knows playbook having been in Chans system for 2 years.

He has only consistently looked good last 2 years during last 4 games when Jets basically eliminated. Pressure is part of game and removing it makes it tough to gauge him when chips on line..well we can,, the other 12 games, LOL
