Thor99
You're right Slats. There wa a 50/50 chance it would work. It didn't and I commend Hunter for taking the position (retirement) he has chosen. It was more like 1/
RutgersJetFan
It was more like 1/99 So you're saying there was a chance.
GhostOfGlennFoley
It's interesting to read Collision Low Crossers and see how highly Bill Callahan thought of Hunter. Said he was one of the best lineman he's ever coached. And then, this happened I can't ever recall a lineman getting so easily handled.

jgb
So Rex needs the player to tell him he is physically unable to compete? Too bad Bart Scott and Ed Reed weren't as outspoken as Wayne Hunter.

jeaniec
It was more like 1/99 I won't disagree with you on this one. I was kind of smh when I read of Hunter's arrival. Other than him, the Bills have acquired outstanding players. JMO

Think the decision to terminate was the other way around. JMO

He probably asked Rex to announce as a retirement. And, he may be retiring but I have a strong suspicion that Hunter was initially asked to leave. JMO I have a strong suspicion that Rex told Hunter to start looking for an apartment and then your GM tapped Rex on the shoulder and threatened to unpack his parachute next time he went sky diving if he didn't cut him immediately.
