he got hurt but apparently came back in the game after a few snaps.

Sounds like ALOT more than that happened.

Ndamukong Suh defied Dolphins’ defensive plan

So far this season, the vaunted Miami Dolphins defense hasn’t exactly looked like the 2000 Ravens or 1985 Bears.

The addition of Ndamukong Suh was supposed to shore up a defense ready to carry the team, but in Sunday’s loss to the Jaguars, the Dolphins gave up nearly 400 yards of total offense.

It seems that has to do with Suh’s role on the defense.

More from The Miami Herald on the early season struggles:

A big reason why: Suh, who for the second straight week was a nonfactor, strayed from Kevin Coyle’s script.

The Miami Herald has learned that Suh freelanced at times Sunday, creating confusion on the defense. By taking matters into his own hands, the Dolphins’ $114 million man took a bad situation and made it worse.

“I couldn’t tell you,” Suh said, when asked to explain his uninspired play. “At the end of the day, we have to go back to the drawing board and figure out what we want to run so guys can make plays and go from there.”

It’s only Week 2, but this sounds like something Miami (1-1) needs to correct in a hurry.
