I don't, but Brian Costello of the NYPost does.  Let's see what he had to say in yesterday's Post...just out of curiosity.

Also, in 10 years in the league Ryan Fitzpatrick has never had a teammate punch him in the face.  So he's got that going for him too.

aka, Geno cant read Progressions which is why he scrambled (backwards by the way, lOL) when Primary WR civered. rarely fouind a 2nd/3rd WR. Most folks saw that (as I think Bowles/Mac did also on film when they got hired and said GO GET FITZ and DRAFT a QB, LOL), confused how people actually thought he could go thru route tree, when so obvious he bailed after Primary covered. At least a scribe sees it right.

 

But again, If Geno inherits job again, he da man :)

I just cant understand how anybody can look at Fitz and think he is anything more than I a jag-I told you before the season he was awful and has no arm- I was at the game today like almost every game the past 35 years and he proved without a doubt he is not a NFL starter if you want to go anywhere-make no mistake Gailey knew this and knows him best that is why Geno was given the job early in camp. All of his previous teams that cut him knew this and now he is just older. Those dink and dunks for no yards were terrible. The missing of an open wr for a sure td that would have won the game(punted instead run back for a td) The turnovers terrible. 

Bmarsh loves geno and will bring the best out of Geno-when the jets got harvin last year and decker was healthy Geno looked decent which is way way better than fitz-I would rather go down fighting and trying to use our weapons then playing ultra conservative with a guy that cant throw a ball over 25 yards

The "fitz guys" also loved our last gm and were glad to see revis and cro leave....

We will not  see the playoffs with Fitz-go to Geno-if he fails start the Petty era go from there

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Uh, the Jets are 3-1 and Fitz has thrown just 2 ints this season. Geno Smith can't take a dump without throwing at least one. I guess there is a dark cloud in every silver lining.

Exactly, if we didnt have this defense. Geno would already be starting. I dont think Fitz actually earned the right to keep the job. But we are winning and until otherwise why rock the boat.

yep might as well just keep playing prevent offense and just let the defense do the real work

Back to that tired argument again, Geno can't read defenses. How many times last season did we see wr's more than 10 yards downfield. In many situations he only had 1 or 2 reads. Guys openly complained about not being able to improvise in Rex's/MM's offense. I get it you don't like Geno , make the argument he made bad throws or panicked under pressure instead of using the cop out that Geno is dumb and can't read a defense .

And Costelllo really , he probably couldn't even read the putrid rag he writes for and he's telling us Geno can't read defenses. When it comes from a football player it might carry some credibility from a scribe its lazy and drama stirring journalism at its worst.

last year D was pretty good (Top10 I think at end of year) , but we did have many more 3 and outs. Season early, but I recall a slew of 2 and outs.

I think you need to work on things for a while.  The original surprise is not whether or not Todd Bowles said what he said about who would start but.... wait for it... looking a little deeper... thinking just a little harder....  WHY Bowles would say that?  Certainly he would not say that if it were Aaron Rogers or any other established starter for that matter.

Does Smashmouth need to use words with fewer syllables?

In any event, perhaps Bowles has acted the way that he has because Geno did not have much of a grip on the starter's job in the first place.  That would be consistent with what we have seen on this matter.  I know that conflicts with your all-Geno-all-the-time world view but it is what it is.

Theres about 5 of you on this board who just cant seem to get it through your heads that Geno was the starting QB for this team at the time he was punched out.

Pages and pages of absolute idiocy trying to come up with countless reasons why he wasnt when he was.  Why Bowles might have told us he was.  Or duh, maybe he actually meant what he said, why should anyone believe that?  You can argue, you can call me names you can repeat it over and over again and at the end of the day youre wrong.  

Doesnt make me a Geno fan, a Fitz fan whatever.  It makes me someone who can read.

That's right.  11th out of 32.  Top third.  It certainly beats 38th out of 32 teams as Geno Smith was (some teams had two starters with enough games to qualify).

Fair to middling QB play. That is what we thought we would be getting and it looks like that is what we have received.  About three or four orders of magnitude better than Geno Smith.
